try putting the setting to mid way
cause if you have a low end computer the awesome-ness of CF will make your computer get the blue screen of death
or you could just turn on compatibility mode
or the server is over loaded(unlikely) or you are running 2 freelancer at the same time..........
Cause the only time when to server is laggy is when its going to crash..... or if your capped -
ha michael looks like u need to make the "player online" tool bar thingy fit more people

I understand the difficulties of balance NPCs but I don't get (sure because I don't have the code insight) how balance NPCs can affect jobs.
The main problem with NPC is that are overpowered:
1.- They dodge continualy and with extreme turns which make them extremly hard to aim, thus to hit with guns
2.- They use lot nanos and batteries which makes almost ineffectives tshe few hits they take.
3.- They use countermesures which makes the only weapon that could be effective, homing missiles, practically useless against them.Behold the work of op! Even that the NPCs use engine kill too!
Heres a tip.... fight at close range and stay behInd the enemy.... and make us of the strafing keys....
Cause NPCs cant dodge lasers if it come directly behind and use missiles via mid-close range -

The reason is when you fist make a char and the give it some mills and try to buy the the ship.....it comes up with
you need to be level --------- even if im level 55- ace
then when you relogg you can buy the ship, this can really piss off new players.. -
Recently n00bs have a message you need to be level ---- when they are trying to buy a ship in MP
And they cant even buy a level 4 ship

Op... maybe you could make the download (a LOT) smaller having 2 download options one with texture improvements and one with not
cause the big 1.3 something GB scares people off....So the idea is smaller download = more players cause not every one in the world has epic download speed....
