Meh, I think the reason why FL survived for so long compared to other space sims is because of it's pricing model. Pay once and forget about it; if you want something in-game you have to work for it - no other way around.

Could some system be incorporated via flhook which allows players to change the lights on the light hardpoints of their ship? I think this would greatly enhance the customization of ships.

There appears to be another server online runner Crossfire which wasn't active yesterday. I created a character and roamed around. I can confirm that this server is running Crossfire, not just a mod with the same version number.

I've attached a screenshot of the server and it's IP below.

I think FL with a new engine would be good. That way all that needs to be done is replicating the mechanics since all the game resources are already available.

Quality should be spread out evenly among all aspects of the mod, not just to what players have access to.
