Some other thoughts, are you installing FL from CD or non-disc source? If so did you use the no-cd process which comes with the CF mod? Once Fl is installed, there is the ULA that must be acknowledged. This comes up when you launch Fl the first time. Once you acknowledge it you then close the game and install the mod. Not doing this will prevent the game from running. I can't get your screen shot to expand to I can't read it.

Did you follow the guide that is available in the FAQ section of this site? Did you ensure Administrator rights were used when installing? Was the "Read Only" removed from all game directories and files contained there? You may need to uninstall, clean up all left behind files, etc (see the FAQ for specific guidance) and then reinstall using Administrator rights. There are many of us that are running Win 10.

Looks like Forlon beat me. Take his comments into account as well.

My traceroutes have shown the same thing. My ping is 36ms until it gets to Germany, starts to increase until it is 184 near the server area.

Sorry but each clan base will have the same three ships. There is no custom design or building of ships to create unique ships other than the ones that were done a part of the 2.0 mod when there were added over 50 new ships that were new to the game or replaced older ships that weren't used that much. The redemption being one of those where the old model was replaced with a newer one. hth

The clan bases have a ship dealer that has three ships available. They are the same ships for all clans. No there was no custom designed ship unique to each clan. The three ships are the Dragonfly, the Antares Freighter and a bomber.

No, raliguns are not mountable on any ship except the ships that come with them, and in MP those are the ship the GR's fly and not available to other players.

Hello, Welcome! To your first question, it is never a good idea to stop the launcher from updating. Let it complete and then shut down if need to. The MP portion is a Role Playing universe based around the FL story-line after the conclusion of "The Final Stand". It is recommended you play the Single Player version first as that will introduce you to the characters, factions and take you through the entire universe that is Crossfire. This will allow you to get up to speed faster when you start playing the Multiplayer version. In MP version, you open the launcher, select the MP version, wait for the updates to complete and the first time you do this after install there will be a lot of them to complete. Let it finish. Once that is done the game will start and once you step through the beginning portion you will be presented your account number (make a note of it right then) and then enter your first character name and follow the prompts. You will be issued your first ship and 150,000 to outfit it and get started playing the game. There is no "lobby" or "waiting for a match". This website has a great number of articles, pictures and how-to's in the various forums and Wiki sections, and FAQ's to help you get started, not to mention the many players that are both in game and online to answer questions or point you in the right direction. Enjoy!
