@ OP...Very impressive! Something to look forward too after CF 2.0 is finished. Temp name? I like either Lancer's Dream or Dreamlancer, just something to be a place holder for now.
Again, very impressive work m8!

Well all I know is that I saw the bar at the bottom, clicked on it, window popped up showing Michael available and sent him a note. I clicked on Status and was able to change mine with no issue, clicked on status again and window closes, same for the options and the chat window itself. I don't see a problem.

You may already know this but with AVG if you go to "components" then click on Anti-virus, then find the line that says Enable and uncheck it. Complete install then go back in and re-enable the anti-virus. I leave mine running all the time and haven't had any issues that couldn't be resolved. If I get what I know to be a False alert on any of the CF files, I just add those files to the exception list and no issue after that. I also have sent those files to AVG so they can look at what they need to do to correct the false alerts.

I have been playing for awhile now. It has its pros and cons but mostly pros. Cost, there is none. You don't have spend any money unless you want some fancy extras fast, that you can get by just playing the game. Knowing the rules and how stuff works means no money spent. I haven't spent any. Lot of folks on it during the night hours in the US and across the Pacific. EU server has big crowd on it.
Yep, they got hacked and have been trying to recover. Part of the recover was everyone's password was reset. No big, but it did take about three days after the reset to get everyone back up, due to heavy server use with everyone trying to reset. Patience was all that it took. Main forums are still being worked on and as of last evening they will be back up soon. Other issues also close to completion and patches and updates will soon start again. Dev group is underwater ATM but are very hopeful their financial situation is close to resolution and once that is taken care of they will get back to working on some of the issues with the game. It is having some buggy issues but not all the time. Laggy once in awhile but doesn't last too long. Graphics are great.
The biggest issue is that there are a couple plays who have no life and have spent money to buy crafting blueprints to max mod out their ships so that in one case the player shows as a lvl 14 but the ship is closer to a lvl 25 with the special mods. He also has an alt that shows a lvl 24 but it is closer to a lvl 40 ship for the same reason. the problem is that they then go to open areas and jump anyone they know that they can take. There is PvP and PvE. Not hard to figure out who is PvP and who isn't. These two will just keep hammering folks (they figure out the respawn spot and wait). This way they earn big XP points for PvP kills. I had the opportunity to chat with one of their group and found out that both of these players are just as hated by them as anyone else. There was a new player from the Far East, not sure just where but she kicked one of them in head to head combat so many times that the cry-baby went complaining to the support group. He got told to deal, he should have expected someone to take him on at his own game.
Anyone can mod their ship by "salvaging" dropped items from NPC's or other players ships. There are two main "clans", the Genide and the TYI. There are sub clans inside both. The Tyi are mostly younger players and act like it sometimes. that is where the two I was referring to are. The Genide are older and more mature group but in the last couple of days we have had some new players join and they are younger folks but level headed.
Anyway, my take on the game. I like it. I have to keep in mind the difference in controls/commands btwn CF and BP but still manage to have fun. The rest you will have to see for yourself.

Sorry I wasn't there. I was down hard for the last three days and am just starting to feel better.
I did notice from reading the log that, IMO, the mtg chat needs to have a moderator. Start the mtg with everyone checking in, Mod works up a role pole, OP starts with the first topic and his take or request, Mod starts the role pole for input/comment from those that are joined in order. After first round through role Mod can ask each in turn for further comment on the topic. Once discussion done Op starts next topic and so forth. This keeps spam down to a bare minimum and all members get ample time to provide input/comment or support for previous comment, without feeling like they are being ignored. Chances are this would result in solutions/resolutions to issues/problems or lead to assignment of task for someone to research a subject and bring results to next mtg. Of course for this to work it would have to be written up in detail and posted for a members to read/be aware of so that when they join they (we) all know what to expect and how it will run. Just my take on it.
I also think that this last mtg however did start some good conversations that do need to be continued over the next couple weeks and a summary of those discussions brought to the next mtg. Again, my take on the matter.

To answer your question OP, yes they do. I have sent two emails to them with the particulars since their tool they sent me while it would run, it indicated that "AVG doesn't seem to be installed on this computer. Install AVG and run again." I sent that to them as well. Haven't heard back form them.

Had the same problem. Interesting thing though was that a regularly sweep didn't see it but after the PC had been on for a bit I got the same alert for the same thing. The file involved is the libcurl.dll and according to OP it is used for plug-ins. I called AVG and the short of it was dissatisfaction with them on this issue. First person wanted to sell me something before they even looked up my account. Anyway, once placed in the exception folder that is the end of the silliness.
