Yeah I've opened it and closed it like 10 times without any problems
My problem is not the same (as the name of the thread) but...
Just to ask, that my launcher (the new one) works, but it don't want to download the updates for the MP(SP works fine)(now even SP don't work, only the launcher). And this is from yesturday in the late hours.
....Is the server offline, or it have again some problems
Nope the server is up and I am receiving updates
Check your firewall, if it's on add an exception to the program your computer might be blocking out the server

is there an exe2 directory before you launch?
Before I run the launcher? No, I don't think so. I uploaded some pics incase I didn't get what you meant
Edit byI just ran the 'freelancer.exe' again and it worked this time -
I now have a problem where it crashes too, but it's ever since I updated. I ran the launcher, it updated and I quit out of it.
I tried to re-run the launcher, and I get a 'CFLauncher' error:

Check your connection quality and use download accelerators if the problem persists - they can continue stuck downloads. I was redownloading CF from Portal three or four days ago, np.
He downloaded it through Gamefront without a problem, but his issue was not deleting the files I think
Unlocker should have helped, that's what I go to when I can't delete those pesky files

Can you try downloading it using JDownloader? Download the program, it's a freeware download manager, and grab the direct link to the mod download at GameFront and start downloading and see if it does any betterEdit: I misread your post, my bad
I would go and download another freeware tool called unlocker. For me I always use it to get rid of files I can't delete. It's a nice little tool to have! Just right click on the file (after installing unlocker) and use unlocker on it. There should be a little box that appears with a dropdown menu, all you have to do is select delete and you should be good!

and this one : C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\Crossfire1.9\EXEwith a fresh install and i have the same result for the two of them "can't initialize gecko"
Uhh I don't think you should run it from the FLMM directory (I think it breaks the game). It should work by running it from the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE" directory

no cflauncher.exe for me. only frelencer.exe with crossfire icone
Sorry there is no CFLauncer.exe, my mistake. But try to go to your Freelancer/EXE directory and manually run the 'freelancer.exe' from that folder like so:

its important to know thatNope, sorry for the false alarm! I thought that the shortcut was pointing to the 'CFLauncher.exe' but it wasn't. The file isn't present in the Freelancer directory either

I have a problem where I can't quote posts anymore. Like I can hit the "Quote" button and select something like "Quote selected text directly" but when I go to the reply page, it's not present. I tried this on Chrome and Firefox, but it didn't make a difference. Is anyone else encountering this? Thanks!
