In case you are wondering what the heck this is when you sign on the server, it is a new tool* OP is running on Crossfire. It awards the player that kills another human player cash for killing them, and it also records what type of weapon was used to kill him: guns, missles, CD's, mines, and unfortunatly self kills by your own ammountion.

I do not know the level difference-winnings payout ratio so dont ask, OP knows more about that than I do, but the most it seems to allow is 100,000 max; just as if the combat ships we flew had an escape pod. The payouts are supposed to come from your enemy that you just killed, but I havent checked every time I get killed so I'm not 100% sure.

The one flaw I see with this is self kill by ammunition. As we know a way to counter missle and torp spammers is by CD's to detonate their projectiles. However with this Shell tool, it does not record that it was you that killed them with your CD, and you are not awarded your money, however your opponent still loses 100,000 or less, depending on level.

As for those shy, ashamed losers that now will worry when they die and see the "[player] killed [you]" message, don't worry. It seems to only broadcast just throughout your system.

*new as in just now running...it's been completed for a while. Lets give the creator some credit, damn fine kill recorder.

It's possible Marshal, but only through the admin editing your character files, and I doubt OP is ever going to do that.

I just meant that the systems population should be seen as what they were. Cause the people of the systems we are fighting over are of the Alliance, not the Confederation. So CSF is taking hostages and ASF is liberating them. :D

just a little advice; your "cousins" are at the omicrons. When doing these stories remember what that system used to be. They all dont convert to CSF at an instant. When capturing a lawful system you hold hostages, not instant comrades.

    xP other way around Marc.

    Lone:
No, clan KOS is for clanners of that certain faction only. However if they put a bounty on him in the bulletin board then it is then a serverwide manhunt.

Maybe because at this point in Crossfire history Earth is still being repopulated and is still a colony.

As for your question Ruivo, the Alliance lost technology during the travel to Sirius. In Starlancer they had warp drive technology that would transport them great distances in a few seconds.

That is VERY much impossible. What happens if the leader signs off when someone is docked? Prolly server crash.

Plus how can you manage the inventory? Prolly possible in another game, but not Freelancer.

As for looting limits there is, but not for certain items like no looting of berlillium from a frieghter or such. I belive it is only limited by ship class.

    Top Story: Liberation of California

It was a rainy night for the people of Los Angeles, but that did not stop them from celebrating their liberation from the CSF. The Alliance Star Fleet, under the command of pilot Baldwin, challenged the forces of the Confederate Empire for control of the California system. The Confederates, who has controlled that system for some time, had erected almost invicible defenses. With the development of Fort Venom over California Minor at 67%, the battlestation required heavy patrols and constant repairs. The Alliance strike force, once again a detactment from the Blood Guard squadron, sent in heavy multi-role fighter-bombers to torp the station.

Unfortunatly things did not go to plan for the Alliance pilots. A lone scout caught the location of the ASF group and radioed in for reinforcements. After the picket defense group was downed, they proceeded to the orbit of California Minor to proceed with the bombing. CSF forces had enough time to form a defense grid around the base and a tough battle was fought. The ASF forces were greatly outnumbered, since, although unoperational, the base housed almost two hundred fighters ready to launch, until a few of the attackers fired distruptors at the fuel carriers surrounding the base. The explosion forced a decompression in the upper areas of the base, and forced it to lock down.

The orbital capitol ships over LA started to break away to join the fight, but the LNS Yukon bypassed the defense lock on it's weapons and tore the engines of the three carriers to shreds as they had their unprotected backside to the Yukon. The capitol ships plunged into the atmosphere and broke up over New Deigo city, showering them with almost thousands of pieces of debris. This started a riot and the Confederate troops were retreating out of desperation at the suicidal advance on their positions.

The attackers sent in a lone bomber to take out the core of the station and retreat, but the pilot was skittish, and in a narrow service access portal, rammed into the stabilizers of Venom. The station swayed to the side, and fell to the earth. The CSF fleets withdrew as other internal unrest occured in the adjacent system.

This is BloodGuard pilot Baldwin with the latest war news. Good night and good luck.

Yes and no, depends on if the ship was made by OP and wishes to change them. If not then we would have to ask the creator.
