If I had the chance to go to Mars, the furthest thing on mu mind would be coming back .... Imagine the thrill of turning over a rock and knowing you are the first human (current generation) to see it ...

we have already solved the problem of being locked up in little shells ... it's called 'Programmers' .. also known as mushrooms... :D

I agree the muscle loss is a real problem that has to be solved , and there are ways of using rotation to generate gravity, but I don't think our technology is sufficient to make this a long term solution (lack of material strenth, etc), but I think this is the only real forseeable way to generate gravity for missions.

I am also more worried about radiation exposure .. the thinner the shell of the ship, the less 'scatter radiation' but also the more dangerous ...

Realistically, the chinese are the only country with the economy and the will to make the next stepping stone in space exploration and travel.

BBC News - Chinese Shenzhou craft launches on key space mission

Governmental pushing of a envelope like space is needed before private enterprise can piggyback on that.

Commercial space exploration will also play a roll, but is totally dependant on money from peopel that are willing to spend without any real immediate economic benefit.

Any other ideas , Comments ?

**Also, when escorting the trains to Sol, they don't enter cruise speed when I enter formation with them. i found that if I then disengage formation, start my cruise engine, then reenter formation, then they will activate their cruise engines.**

This happens on some of the other missions as well, and not just with trains I thin kit was with BS... (Pre Mission 11).. Unfortunately I don't have more information but I can remember also having to 'ungroup' then start my cruise engine, group and then the whole group starts their cruise engines

That is definitely some of the settings on your PC if you already disabled the advanced shaders.

I have GTX 460 set at 1920 x 1080 pixels at 32 bpp and had the same problem, then I switched off my Advanced shaders and upgraded my drivers to version 8.17.12.8538 (2011/09/22) It is advertised as Version 285.38 (beta), but version 280 will also work.

I also installed the original blue interface and not the new gold interface.

Never had the black screen thing again after that.

"(Support Company) computer assistance; may I help you?"

"Yes, well, I'm having trouble with (Software Program)."

    "What sort of trouble?"

"Well I was just typing along, and all of a sudden the words went away"

    "Went away?"

    "They disappeared"

"Hmm. So what does your screen look like now?"

    "Nothing"

    "Nothing?"

"It's blank; it won't accept anything when I type."

"Are you still in (Software Program) or did you get out?"

    "How do I tell?"

"Can you see the C: prompt on the screen?"

    "What's a sea-prompt?"

"Never mind. Can you move your cursor around the screen?"

"There isn't any cursor: I told you, it won't accept anything I type"

"Does your monitor have a power indicator?"

    "What's a monitor?"

"It's the thing with the screen on it that looks like a TV. Does it have a little light that tells you when it's on?"

    "I don't know."

"Well, then look on the back of the monitor and find where the power cord goes into it. Can you see that?"

    "Yes, I think so"

"Great. Follow the cord to the plug, and tell me if it's plugged into the wall."

    "Yes it is"

"When you were behind the monitor, did you notice that there were two cables plugged into the back of it, not just one?"

    "No"

"Well, there are. I need you to look back there again and find the other cable."

    "Okay, here it is"

"Follow it for me, and tell me if it's plugged securely into the back of your computer"

    "I can't reach it"

"Uh huh. Well, can you see if it is?"

    "No"

"Even if you maybe put your knee on something and lean way over?"

"Oh, it's not because I don't have the right angle - it's because it's dark"

    "Dark?"

"Yes the office light is off, and the only light I have is coming in from the window"

"Well, turn on the office light then."

    "I can't"

    "No? Why not?"

    "Because there's a power failure"

"A power.... A power failure? Aha, Okay, we've got it licked now. Do you still have the boxes and manuals and packing stuff your computer came in?"

"Well, yes I keep them in the closet"

"Good. Go get them, and unplug your system and pack it up just like it was when you got it. Then take it back to the store you bought it from."

    "Really? Is it that bad?"

    "Yes, I'm afraid it is."

"Well, all right then, I suppose. What do I tell them?"

"Tell them you're too stupid to own a computer."

Different versions of the MS C++ re-distributable.

MS released updated versions recently ... I suggest you try installing http://www.microsoft.com/downl…0B62A191EE&displaylang=en and http://www.microsoft.com/downl…4b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=en and then try again

    Also ...

Sometimes developers on XP machines use constants for custom windows messages that they should not as these are in the published MS message range, and then the apps works on XP, and in W7 in XP mode, wut in Windows 7 it crashed.

The only way to track this down (if you don't have the source) is to use Depends and Profile the Freelancer.
