Interesting - Thanks for the information .... I have also seen the lagging performs worse when a BS is with a group of fighters in IC, than when just 2 -3 fighters is in a group.

The source code for the game engine is not available and the 'physical universe laws' calculation formulae is thus fixed.
What is described in the link you point to , is the same as if a developer of equipment developed to different specifications. It does not change the newtonian laws, just the parameters of the euipment operating inside that laws.
It is pretty amasing what you can all change. The original develoeprs had a very good product and well thought out equipment models.

I had very bad experience in IC , then I replaced my Graphics cards (see below my sig) .. and all is very well now ..

Are you seeing BS in System X ?
My understanding was that crossfire is about the CLANS much more than the freelancers ....
As such .. the toolbar will be good for CLANS to view when their mates are online or not ....
OR
we have to start relying on other 3-rd party products that has no integration to CF (As suggested)
.. and that (imho) will start detracting from CF
BUT ....
Once CF1.9 new website is up, we will see what is there and what not, then we can ask if we don't find our needs.

I do not care to see WHO is online...
I used the tool most to determine WHAT a person is flying and their level, when determining how to help them when they ask for assistance and they are not in the same system as I am.
I also use it as a 'barometer' for ship analysis to see what is the current popular ships out there ....

It would be nice ... BUT .. if people see what you post as 'cast in stone' .. then ( If I was in your shoes) it may be a good idea to keep things under wraps till it's ready to release..

The NPC's in Single player mode is really not all that difficult.
Please explain what mission you are doing and where you are experiencing the problem.
Have you maxed out your current ship and are you tackling npcs for the level of your current capability?

Please post here the computer specifications that you play with.
Operating System, CPU, RAM and most importantly - Graphics Cards
Also How did you intall CF, and was there a FL version installed BEFORE CF?
Then we can have more information to help you, as the game is very stable and played daily by many many people, indicating at first glance that it may be something to do with your hardware/software setup.
