ya know, i never played CF SP? Never bothered to get through the entirety of the original singleplayer. Can there be a Mod Launcher option in future that will bypass the first 13 missions so you start with a half-decent ship and a healthy chunk of change right at the start and pick up where the Vanilla campaign ended?

I've played the vanilla singleplayer so much back in the day, i got pretty discourage when i installed Freelancer to play the Singleplayer CF only to find i had to complete Trent's misadventures before getting into the good stuff.....

Edit: Of course i Voted for Crossfire for MOTY 2017. What are ya, stoned?

if we all stopped fighting each other, we could develop the technology that would defend against the radiation hazards of space travel and hostile environment of Mars. I don't think we are meant to stay on Earth and we as a species are meant to find a place among the stars. The Universe is too damn big for humans to be the ONLY sentient species, let alone on a primitive level. Mars is just the First Step.

Look at Asgardia, the future independent sovereign nation in earth's orbit. They face similar challenges such as cosmic radiation and the junked up orbital space area place (that was scientific) we have. I'm sure we'll eventually develop shield technology...

Either way, God forbid we get a global movement behind colonizing Mars it'll only happen once. Ever.

Recently, another experiment was done that was similar to the experiment the guy in the video was explaining (that failed in the early 90's). It's being done on a volcanic and remote island in Hawaii. NASA or one of those spacey places locked like 7 people in this dome for year and left them there. I suspect they learned the lessons from Biosphere 2 and made sure people weren't going in and out

kind of a shame you can't have more than one commander afaik. At least without buying the game again. Otherwise, we could have just a base character everyone joins on. like a booth at the mall meets at...

a nice hybrid of medium and medium rare. Not quite leather but not quite mooing still. Apparently if i get absolutely sh*tfaced, i make the best steaks ever. And i remember how to make it too but it doesn't have the same amount of love put into it

Jumped into the cockpit for the first time. was waiting for the update to drop before i got back on. swapped out my type 7 for an Asp Explorer. Just because i'm concerned about aliens, i sacrificed about 4ly in jump distance for military grade armor and a couple tier 2 weapons.

I was also getting some connectivity issues and kicked back to the main menu

My build is proof you can build a sick gaming rig without spending hundreds of dollars on each part. The most expensive part in my computer is my graphics card which retailS at $220-$250 depending where ya go (newegg, tigerdirect, microcenter etc...) You just have to be willing to cut some corners. I've got an Asus mobo that cost me a little less than $100 and it doesn't have pins for case mounted USB3.0 ports and it's a full size ATX board

I think the total (retail) cost of my rig would be between $600-$700 and it runs pretty much everything at high to ultra settings. Then again, i'm not a frames snob and i'm totally fine with 30fps. can't stand anything under 20 though

can anyone explain the purpose behind being picky on timings? i mean RAM and Graphics timings are so quick to begin with, measuring 1900MHZ vs 2400 MHZ, it's not something you aren't going to notice.

lets say you tried to play GTAV with a Radeon 5xxx series 1gb card and 2gb of RAM, it wouldn't work very well (or at all). low frames and performance. Then if you played it on a monstrous gaming computer, you'd clearly notice difference. But if you had your computer and went from 8gb DDR3 1800MHZ to 8gb DDR3 2100MHZ, youd never even notice you had swapped RAM. Your computer would know and adjust according, but i don't think we as a consumer would know how fast the two are other than "one has a bigger number."

CPU's, yeah, timings might make more difference in choosing one.

really though, you should spend the most money on your graphics card and you can end up skimping a little more on parts like a Disk Drive, PSU or case.

i suspect these Nomad Depots would have different loot each time. I mean i like the idea of "randomly generated" or even one set up for an event. Place a nomad depot at the complete other side of the galaxy and first one there/last one standing gets the loot or prize money (if everyone gets destroyed in the process of racing

AJ, your PC history makes me feel reaallly old.

My first computer was a PIII Dell, then a Dell 8400 with an AGP graphics card.

Then i once build my own computer with scavenged and cheap a** parts. Ran Freelancer and Joint Operations just fine but forget about any of the current generation games at the time.
