SWAT Portal is the right one
For me, I had a look, clicked on the drop down list on the portal page and it just returns me straight back to the portal page. i tried the link by silverfow as shown and it just shows a warning with server connection failure. internal error.
Again as i said in my last post, Lets do it Right the first time. So i also don,t agree witha cheap version. I,m sure we have all heard the old saying you only get what you paid for!. If willing players are paying donations which they obviously are. And it ends up a high amount, then get the best and eliminate problems from the start. And benefit from that in the future.

But to do something properly and without problems. Is to shut it all down and start what ever is required from the ground up.
Crossfire is up in the top ten each year, So lets catch up with the times and get a new coat of paint. To stay up there in the future.
For me, i have enjoyed the marvels the team have done on this mod. been very creative. with more advancement in the new things would be far better obviously.
I will work out the conversion and donate being important and give as much as i can. On that where to start sending it, Will wait till you advise. THE SOONER THE BETTER !
Lets close the gate to attackers and move in to the modern times. 
been a long time coming. today was informed of a rule change in new york !. there is no more rank restrictions, in operating there. however there is two exceptions.
1. under no circumtances or be tolerated. is any player allowed to attack or harrass a new player. or an increased fine or action will result.
2. any player with a bounty on him or pvp must leave the new york
system.
personally this has been a wise decision by the team. after frustrating enforcement of the old rule.
the words say it all. another year gone, and a little bit wiser
so down to the shop and pick up some more stock
and have another cold one ! or two or three. 
thanks for reply op, yes i just updated to firefox 57.1 and i have https// as default set. most sites i go to have the green padlock on but when i log on to swat portal a grey with red line the padlock. i tried your link too and still only the grey padlock comes up, so it seems something is not right. 
after posting this did a bit of fiddling around and partially solved the problem with the https// appearing in the url. now when logging on the insecure warning has gone. the padlock now says some parts are insecure like pictures.
In previous times in the past when logging on to Swat-Portal to check the forums etc, I would as normal put in password which was kept remembered.
How ever now since my Web Brower is now updated to current version. It now says in log in boxes this connection is unsecure, enter at own risk.
Thanks Martind, appreciate your views and could not have put it any better. The mirage is another ship too that would benefit forward firing. Important to remember each player has there style and choice of ship weapons etc and style of play. Yes one point it can drain your power quickly but again that comes back to what you mount and how you use them. I respect that the sections of Swat Forum is for Feedback and Suggestions and Idea,s. I stress too what might look and sound silly to some, is important to the player asking the question or he wouldn,t ask. It comes to mind too that new players are encouraged to come to Swat-Portal and join the community. For Help, Guidance, To ask questions and experience crossfire for how it was intended. 
PLEASE IF THIS IS ANYWAY POSSIBLE. I HAVE SEEN ON HERE OVER THE PAST YOU CAN CHANGE CERTAIN THINGS ON SHIPS. WOULD APPRECIATE IT PLEASE IF THE TURRENTS ON THE NIGHTHAWK SHIP CAN FIRE FORWARDS IN A 180 DEGREE ARC. NOT REAR AS ITS AIMED AT THE TAIL AND MAKES NO SENSE AND NO USE RELISTICALLY. I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS TO WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN,T DO. I ALSO APPRECIATE YOUR BUSY ON OTHER STUFF TOO.PLEASE LOOK AT THIS REQUEST IF POSSIBLE. 
...Right. In the very next mission, even more OP enemy ships, again armed with cruise disruptors, appear in the Inner Core missions. It is just flat out impossible to survive alone. So much for that single player experience. I'm done with this mod. I really wanted to like it, but I get no enjoyment from this any more.
I suggest you use actual playtesters in the future and listen to what they say before releasing your mods. Goodbye.
It,s always interesting to watch players come here and draw conclusions on just a few hours of play,If even that.
Most if not all of us, Have first played "sp" as a starter and after completion moved on to a bigger challenge multiplayer.
One important thing is attitude. So much creation and time by the Dev Team to continually keep challenges and exploration, to fight or trade. Which they have not even seen 1/10th of.
All i can say is that, if players are looking for a shoot em up game then there come to the wrong place. 
no it says you can collect them but the are not ready to use yet, till huor do,s his magic.
