umm first of no i have not been in space too long or on something lol. i marked the time, 3times in the log sat may 16th 7.54. i was approaching manhattan docking ring from trenton station. an apparition in front of me, a b/s started uncloak and looked transparent i first thought it was a nomad attacking but it seemed to cloak again right before the planet with me expecting it to explode. i spotted another pilot and asked him if he was a b/s and he said no, he was in an eagle so i told him what happened ( TL no5 ). i have never seen this in all the time i have been flying here. it was a shock. any idea,s anyone and again no it,s not a story hence my quick logging of time.

after all the time in space exploring decided to venture out and buy a b/s. well what a different experience and was happy with my first tour in use. yep look out, however, the ship can only store 20 coalition torps in this case, and only 4 places with great distance to each to buy them. i would of thought, the centre point of each system you could buy them from the planets. ofcourse it would be prudent to use them carefully. i went to the place of knowledge wiki and under the heading of torps, where to buy them for each different launcher,them are listed except the coalition torp. correct me if i,m wrong.input is appreciated

Let's assume ... larger installations, or installations of larger capabiliies, need a lot of ... additional internal components, special energy converters, fire directors, maintaining crew compartments, etc.
The 'turret' you see on its outside is just the peak of an icebergcorrect so again like i said wise man do,s the mounted item take up cargo space then it,s not cargo space got it. it,s part of the internal working section of the turrent then it,s not cargo space, so the size of the cargo space as martind has indicated will be adjusted to the correct size of the cargo holding capacity. ouch

) but a fighter is smaller and correct on it,s cargo count and you mount stuff on the outside it do,s not change.same with freighters. oh well must reduce the b/s by a massive amount then.

well it takes on a total different way of fighting using the b/s osiris, just getting the hang of it in n/y for the moment going through the paces. one thing though it suppose to have a cargo bay of 600 but as not explained do,s that mean weapons and other equipment take up cargo space. after attacks tractoring in pods and commodities i was full after about 150. can someone clear that part up for me please

thnx martind, having trouble with the forum loading for some reason. its running real slow downloading but i will check cali minor again. it has happened once or twice looked for a ship, its not where it was saying in wiki then log off and it,s been there the second time. will give the osiris a look at too. one thing i can say many funny things happen on here that are strange but i just persist.

thinking on a bigger ship, the b/s. no not bull @!#@t either lol. appreciate some advice. tried one some years ago and was not impressed one bit.yes had a look on wiki . like the look of the iteron, so i sent a fighter to cali minor to study it and not there, been moved maybe up to date wiki would be good it is the key centre of info especially for new pilots. so i wait out of interest from some of you b/s pilots thanks

The Griffin had since its appearence in CF 1.8 (now with a new design) always only one backwards firing turret as well as Nighthawk and (esp.) Mirage you mentioned.</p><p>These ships are modeled in their (not only) weapon-layout after the vanilla VHFs, which also had mostly backwards firing turrets as means for defense against attackers at your six
, that formed the "standard" layout for VHFs already in the earliest CF versions ... only with the notable exclusion of the Sabre , as its "special" feature to have the turret available on 360°.<br />
At some point in development of Freelancer it was planed to make them "automatically" firing at enemies in their range of angle-movement. Just as these turrets did in Star Lancer. But as far as I remember it wasn't activated on release (AGES ago, that I played vanilla FL). So you have to swicht your view and use them "manually". </p>
<p>And for "fins" and "tails" at their ends ... just lets assume they have kinda sophisticated automatic "firing" lock, when they move across such shipparts. ... just as the upper backfiring gun-stands and turrets in WW II heavy fighters and bombers

<p>And I am quite sure, that the "special" feature of 360° firing turrets will stay ... "special" on only a few fighters, as Angel Wing, Komodo Dragon, Strike Eagle, King Tiger, ....</p>
<p>i beg to differ nuc but the last time i flew the revamped griffin it had two turrents in middle, on the top and if you look there you will see two mountings with now only one turrent hence my post. all ships and a lot more have i flown. ask you another thing, when a turrent turns 360 you would be strafing your own tail also hence my post the said ships now no longer have tails</p>

to the wise ones a request please
1. in the past i raised a matter on a ship called the griffin, it,s 2 turrents firing backwards could shoot your tail off, was informed it was getting another revamp, and it has. all it needed was the 2 turrents locked firing forward, instead of removing tail and locking firing rear making it hopeless. one good thing the mount is still there, so could that be made active again so a forward firing turrent can be mounted again making this a supa ship in a fight.
2. another great ship is a nighthawk, with the same thing turrent firing backwards in to it,s tail. can that be locked to firing forward too making it also a great fighter, maybe look at some of the others like the mirage etc.i fully realize you are very busy and a lot of other things still to do on the mod but express my appreciation for all your hard work. you have r/l too

i decided to put cruise disruptors on my avoidance list. 1. hornet 3000 dist, speed 800 rest of info&cost irrelevant. 2.mosquito 5000 dist, speed 2090. cost yep relevant 5 mill.
yep getting to the point neither do there job well not in my eyes anyway i have used them at different situations and they do nothing. from any distance to point blank range straight in front of me.
i have managed to stop 2-3 npc,s by using the c/d,s in continual fire finally after a great number stopping them, silly.
so i mount sunslayers in there place with far better use and profit and far better accracy in distant use too. i respect the views of other pilots with different results. just my personal view -
hi, the redemption is a good ship..
.. and when you start flying in MP you will have the advantage of having many char's...
which means you can have many ships at your disposal to use as you wish... happy flying and hope to see you in MP soon...
first the eagle is a great starter and then on to others but the redemption and the new ship quasar which is swift at killing aliens. but each pilot has his own preferences and so will you as you try them out. good hunting

Well, I have a sort of final exams next month, so I can't afford planning to create one from scratch again (including finding a new way to "host" toolbars), I'm not sure if it's really needed anymore anyway... will see another time I guess.

well i have another idea or post or whatever, we all fly he vast area of space and collecting or buying our needs.again just a question is there a way to store some of our equipment not commodities as they are for revenue. so we can dock and refit new ships and so on, maybe not explained enough but pilots would have the general picture. maybe this already happens and i would be gratefull to learn something new
