Indeed my reason for opening this thread was to get information regarding clan creation. I have updated the name of the thread to accommodate the subject.

Thank you for the clarifications.

Furthermore, I kindly request pointers (links if this info is written somewhere) for how to rent a system, how to build a clan base, how to produce stuff in the clan base etc ..

I just found out why I was told about the 10 members requirement: Frequently Asked Questions - SWAT Portal - SWAT Portal
Not sure whether this still applies though.

Yep, you're right, especially that there is no game footage released yet and the game is targeted to be released on 2020.
Who knows, this might be as disappointing as Dragon Age 2 was after Bioware got f****d by EA.
I was merely describing the hype I felt when I found this news. Most likely all other Bloodlines fans are feeling the same way. The impact that this news has over the Bloodlines community is almost the same as if we were reading tomorrow that Freelancer 2 is under development and is targeted for 2020
But yeah, high hopes means high disappointments. We'll how it turns out

As mega-fan of VAMPIRE: Bloodlines - the first RPG to precede the best RPG ever to be made (Witcher 3) - I have no words to describe how I feel about this:
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 - Preorder on GOG.com

Hey mate, welcome aboard

You gotta uninstall everything Freelancer related and clean registries too before trying to install back - I had to do the same after my first install failed due to my AV.
After that, reboot.
Then with admin rights:
1. Install FL - preferably on other path than the default program files
1.a Don't disable your AV, just add the FL folder to AV's exclusions
2. Reboot - this will most likely be requested by FL installer when finished
3. If you suspect that downloading the zip in browser is causing the incomplete archive, then run this in powershell to get you the full zip:
** 3.1 You'll find the file in c:\users\your_user_name\crossfire.zip
4. Install FLMM that comes with Crossfire archive, and then run the Crossfire setup.

Are there automated triggers for the Crossfire trophies - Banker, Navigator, Killer, NPC Hunter ?
If yes, then what would be requirement to link the forum account with the in-game characters ? I assume that simply listing the FL chars in forum profile shouldn't be enough, as there's no way of validating that the chars I list there are my own or others'

EA way - Quality Assumption at it's best:
1. Launch Game -> Does it crash ?
- Yes -> If 10/10 then balls, otherwise we're good.
- No -> Enter Single player
2. Reach any new system (just pick one, checking all of them is an overhead) -> Does it crash ?
- Yes -> Reduce resolution on system sphere tga & retest
- No but things are not fluent -> Reduce resolution on system sphere tga & retest
- No -> Land on any base
3. Try to land on a new base -> Are you stuck in docking ?
- Yes -> Doesn't matter, other players will not use my admin test ship so we're good
- No, but the ship spends too much time finding the docking point -> Yay, less people pussing out from a fight this way, and besides ... it doesn't matter, other players will not use my admin test ship so we're good.
- No -> Go to Multiplayer
-- Before 4, move your test char to a new system/base
4. Go Multiplayer, log in with test char - Can you do anything after log-in ?
- Yes, but the game crashes after undocking -> Meh... I shouldn't have used a potato PC for this test - we're good.
- Yes: observing the high detailed textures on my new ship after the game froze -> Meh... I shouldn't have used a potato PC for this test - we're good.
- Yes -> release candidate
- No -> release candidate & apply fix in a DLC
-
I'm using a gen 4 i5 , boosted to 3.8 GHz which is the limit for this CPU.
I consider it a potato PC, and even so... on a 3.8 GHz core, the game is fluent in the last mission.
In my opinion, the challenging part would be architecting this whole thing, from the LAN sessions to mission progression and progress saving for all parties.
Not impossible, but extremely time consuming if implemented by 1 person.
