Mind me asking are you keep server data at home and only pay domain host? Or you doing the all thing online remotelly? im a bit confused with all that IT things :D

Im only askin cos im trying to that thing for my son and his friends to make server to use for minecraft and other online games to play privately like on LAN parties.

You never going to believe me that in last 25 years i didn't lost a single HDD just need to replace them cos of size they still work tho :D Flash drives and portable drives is other story i lost a few that thing never last long that is true. And i keep all of my stuff ever placed on hard drive never mind i dont need all of them now.Only thing that broke im my case is cables ATA or SATA i change them frequently and always use quality cables.

Ok I deduced it from the problem description sent to you by the server admins. I like the fact that you have backup drives, I have been persistently explaining this to my customers for years, but no, they still put all the important things on the desktop system partition, and then when the system crashes, they cry for me to restore everything important that they put there, of course by then it is already too late. It would not be a bad idea to make an image of the system when all the settings are finished, so that in the future such inconveniences would not occur. You don't have any insurance that the physical drive stops working at some point, that risk is always present. I personally don't backup the entire system, but only important things, since I have the settings in my head.

I see so the data is intact that is good news could it be that only master boot record on c was corupted that can be repaired in my experience. Anti cheat could be the real culprit often bug the entire system. Its posible to rewrite mbr and make drive readable again it dosent have to restore system just to extract a tons of configurations even from broken drive its posible.

Let's clarify this our record of all server configuration instead of multiple hard drives in raid configuration was working on a single drive onlyAs far as my knowledge of raid technology is concerned, the data is randomly distributed on all disks in the raid in order to speed up the writing and reading thereof. If only one disk was working in this case, it means that the data is not complete or all the data was on one disk, which drastically slows down the server. If there is a recent backup of the data, they can return to the new raid configuration, but since it is a lot of data, that process would take a long time if I understood you correctly. So the fastest solution would be to start the server immediately with the basic configuration, in that case most of the data would be lost, but the server would work normally. So all the hard work, and the recently made chars would be lost. As far as I can see, one member agrees with the fact that we should all start fresh and if someone starts a poll, I would also vote for it, even though I definitely don't like the idea, the hours of work would be wasted. Also, does that server still use hard drives or SSDs?

you probably should use the new CFUIChanger tool.

I don't even know what that is let alone use it. Please explain it to me. Sorry if im noob. I saw that there were problems with the hood, but it didn't bother me and I didn't want to report it.
Btw its not that big after almost 6000 files that i did yesterday :D Im joking

First of all it's imposible to connect my computer directly to the router cos is too far. When my internet provider provide me with optical internet ill tell them to place main router to the game-workshop room. Second why is that happening only when i try opengl option but runs smooth on directx. I know that powerline adapter is not elegant solution it was primarily intended to transmit iptv to my bedroom, but in the meantime I arranged a workshop in another room and installed computers and a router there that I got to extend the wifi signal, it uses dual band 5g and 2.4g signal and also its wan can work wirelessly and on a hard connection. I need a LAN cable about 30 meters long and I would have to drill holes in the walls to bring it to the room, so I simply resorted to an easier solution using a PLA device, so far I have had no problems. although I could transfer the computer and connect it directly to the main router and use the TV as a monitor to try, but I gave up because I tried a much weaker computer on the same network configuration as the main one and it works perfectly on the opengl option. Which leads to the conclusion that the problem is either with my network adapter on the motherboard or with windows. Unfortunately, I will have to reinstall the operating system

i dont think that shader can cause connection issues

Ok genuine twilight zone i did clean reinstall of game both of them. Problem remains opengl option lags as hell but other works smooth. I tried to install CF on much slower computer on the same network to confirm if its the local nerwork problem well i got surprised game i mean MP works without any lags on opengl option pings are super good. Now other games works also with good pings on my main machine like LOL,Dota2,CS2,GTA online i checked my self all of them i only play Dota2 and CF sometimes Mass Effect Andromeda but most of the games is network dependent and all work great. I rly don't know where the F**** problem is i am rly pissed. That is why i rarely enter MP and stick to SP once you see how great game looks on opengl you can't get back to old looks :D Sorry if i bother you with my problem but i neaded to share my pain with you guys
BTW Happy Easter to you all !!! I think this year it's on the same day for both Orthodox and Catholics.

Just to mention, when I encounter a problem with the game, I usually do a clean uninstall and then reinstall. Now when I reinstall Crossfire, it takes forever to update, 5920 files to be exact. Is there any way to integrate those files into the installation itself, i.e. to update the installation package? It wouldn't be a problem if the update didn't take 5 times longer than just downloading the installation package for the simple reason that it updates one file at a time. I think someone has already asked this question, but I don't remember who or if anyone answered it. Maybe even me, but I don't remember.

There are tools that can do that, showing maps of sectors providing the different spots of interest. But I will not post that in publicity. One aim of the game is exploring 😏😉

I see i have no problem with that exploration is fun.

Sirius Sector Map and Region Listing ... here one older post which can come handy.

Yep nothing gained if i do that on any resolution infact on biger resolutions image is smaller :D I understand how you do it but i think there is no other way to do it. If there is only a way to pull the picture from game files all problems solved but there isn't, even if it is some way i don't know how :D

i dont think that shader can cause connection issues

I don't think that also but there is a fact that when using opengl shader my pings where rly bad and fluctuating but when i changed to dx shader where good. It's possible that the change itself affected it, I haven't tried to go back to opengl again, I'll try tonight when I get home from work. Believe me, I didn't believe when I switched that it could affect network problems, but somehow it worked. In any case, I will gladly go back to opengl because it looks really good and I will use it for sure when I play SP, great job indeed. I am not an IT expert and my knowledge in that field is more or less basic, I leave it to the real experts to analyze the problem if you consider it necessary. In the end it's obviously just my problem so it doesn't really matter.

Ok the solution was quite simple i swich shader from opengl to directx v1 and pings was rly good sry for the trouble. I was rly liked opengl, game was looking awesome but cant use in MP only SP

Maybe it will all change when i get optic network right now its 350 meters from my home but like everything in this country process is slow and i dont think ill get anything before i "greese" them up some how or found a "guy" who pulls the strings if you know what i mean

No cos the main WDSL router is on the other side of house however i can connect my computer directly to the PLA and use second router as repeater. I dont think my network configuration is a problem but ill try that. All that is equipment set by my ISP and i can't change that even if this is a shitty equipment.

Ok first two is local network in most cases actually in 99.9% its 1 ms only the first run of the test is high naturally. You r right it's DSL router conected to another router in my workshop where is computer thry PLA it's hard line not wireless as you can see in most of the cases my local network run fine but this hop 9 is 99% down. I dont think my LAN cousing the problem but im open to sugestions. Here fresh test
