the problem i have and have had since this started is it is ok to run (and in some cases come with the whitty remarks for getting away) but if i catch them in a no win situation for the train they F1; that is F1 in combat, against server rules and just down right bad sportsmanship. So this when and where it is ok to F1 whilst doing the smuggler v BG RP argument is just
getting out of hand. I notice here its all about where, when and under what circumstances BG can F1 and a load of reasons why a train CAN F1, it is simple if you want to run the blocade then run the blocade (BG welcome the RP) but dont bloody creep to earth using F1 being smart mouthed when you are out of range talking so clever because you out foxed us at the hyperon gate and then dissaperring when in weapons range. For gods sake we even put an option in the RP where you dont lose money (accept an escort back to LA) and i will say again if i F1 to close to a train i will not pursue.
also if you refuse to stop when ordered (by lagitimate military in RP) then you choose to run if you get caught
stop; say stop on system channel and ask for a return escort. I i feel like i am waisting words because i know
out of every 5 i encouter the current Stats are 2 will play fair 1 will F1 for a borderline case of cheating and 2 will blatently cheat by F1 in combat

they are the stats i compiled over 5 Days on blocade duty, fact. and judging by how much debate on when an F1 can be used and not these stats wont change

THIS IS AN RP SERVER so the "i want to make money" is not an argument, use another route if you dont know one then explore like the creator of the mod intended to be the case. If you use the LA to Earth BMG route bloody well accept you are in RP by default and do as you would be done to, any1 saying they would not mind if a train F1'd out under fire to spoil there RP fun can sod off because i dont belive it for 1 minute

personnally i can see this all turning nasty over a few poeple not wanting to lose a few credits (that are bloody fake anyway) or being to lazy to explore and set up an alternative route.

we even have a communication ordering you to stop
this gives time for you to run if its the fun you want
i always count to 5 before entering hyperon to give you more chance and it possible to run to earth in a train without being caught so it if fair to a train.

All we ask is if you are caught accept the RP and i for 1 want to know why seems it is to much to ask

its no secret i am fast running out of the patience many here know me to have in abundance

if this sitution carrys on my plan is simple it involves a bullpup 3, 4 telzona del cids, 2 nem launchers, a collie torp and no warnings or options to stop, dump cargo or accept an escort this way a train truly doesnt have a chance to survive run, or F1 and even if you do manage to pull an F1 i will take screenies and kick up a stink here on the forum and with SP as you will have F1'd in combat it is breaking server rules and i belive a fine or 24hr ban is the punishment

so whats it to be do we all start to play fair or do i (and i wont be alone in this) start to get as dirty as those who cheat me????????

lol dopp i had it checked out by 2 highly wuallified inderpendant technicians and the funnything was neither of them could find anything wrong so they gave me a new one but what is even funnier evry time i use it on you it still shows BMG strange, there is no exlination.

also the H5N1 Clan are the most persistant offenders
and are enganged (i am presumming) in a clan wide plan to F1 creep the whole route if necassary

there will be no more warnings of communications from me and i am hoping for this to become a standing order for BG

what i understand (or at least presumming to do so)
is this:

1, You think most players here live their life according to CF

2, you also think they adopt a time scale for thier day to start and finish based on the beat times to play CF

3, you presume to tell us to open our eyes (this i take acception to although i fully defend your right to an opinion) how dare you suggest that i need a "time out to see things with other eyes"

4, this server has a good 24Hr 7 days a week feel to it.
further more many people from many time zones, language and social barriers work very hard ( in what is essentially thier free/ social or hobby time) to improve the whole thing for veteranns of CF an noobs alike. For me whatever Time i find in my day to visit here i always feel welcomed and amoung friends. I am sure many here feel the same.

I am sorry if you think i flamed you in my reply but your post had undertones of the classic "if you play on line games you are a geek". I play online games and i have a family, a buisness, a social circle with certain commitments therein and (above all) a life.

yep we have a global serverlist again but no CF

and the probability of a Freelancer 2 is remote at the very best as digital anvil is dead so the third in the trilogy that was always planned and promised most likely died with them.

it is unlikley a big concern will continue devolping it
as from what i read on game review sites the whole
space simulator genre is at low ebb of populartiy
in fact its downright out of fashon

where they get this from i dont know considering the amount of servers on the global list from just 1 game
and the amount of community members here from just 1 mod

but dont worry freelancer will not die for many years yet
if ever. and CF will most probally always be on the cutting edge.

if you ask me CF could quite easily be freelancer 2

i have only one request atm and its more for astetics than anyting else

could the CD/Torp mounts on the shroud be altered so i could put the torp launcher in the middle and my to CD launchers either side

i know this is hardly wold changing but it bugs me everytime i equip a shroud

in my opinion the Apearing right in front of you is to much, but i dont agree that 1 guy has to sit there all the time as this is RP (and lets face it very few run the blocade in trains when there is a presence in dublin) but again in my opinion the F1 in should be done before the dublin system is entered by the target or at the very least before visual range is established to F1 right on top of you is an F1 ambush and i am on record in the forum saying my opinion is if it ok to F1 ambush a train then it is ok to F1 switch to a fighter for protection (this is my personal opinion and has been cuse for much debate in this forum in the past now present and i am sure the future)

all this said, my post on this thread was not meant to adress the border line fair play cases such as yours saxon but the blatent what i call F1 creeping (in other words starting journey, F1 when your cargo is at risk
wait till the coast is clear then go further F1 again cos it is getting hot and repeat the process all the way to earth)

if any 1 wants to tell me this is a fair way to conuct themselves in game then feel free but i will never agree
as imo you make it all about the money (which is fake anyway) and not about the fun, RP or the intetions of the game creator(s)

@ OP i am mainly talking about trains underfire

This is for the people who have had me on there backs about F1'ing

if you trade in BMG from L.A. to sol once you are in dublin
you have entered RP by default whether you are in a clan or a freelancer new to server or a salty old space dog

the options are drop cargo for destuction, accept an escort back to L.A. and sell the goods at the price you paid or be destroyed.

please notice the distict lack of F1 as an option

the blocade is to stop these goods reaching Earth son Hyperon and Sol are included in this RP

the F1 option is RP cheating and i know at least 1 SP who has threatened to fine a player if he keeps doing it

if you are not prepared to risk the loss of the cargo
DO NOT TRADE THIS ROUTE this is a very simple thing
if you are not playing the RP stay the hell away
there are other routes that return good profits in fact some that make more per hour than the sol route
