Two respawning pilots aged over 400 years who have bounties on thier heads? They're god-like (but haven't respawned as many times as I)! :] Altair is big and two fighters don't take up a lot of its space. I'll leave this adventure for a lul in the action sometime in the distant future... Maybe somebody will bag one of 'em soon. There's a lot of freelancers who like to roam those wide...open spaces. Did I ever mention that Altair and North Dakota have a lot in common?

I'm thinking along those same lines. I'll do just about anything to avoid starting over from scratch again (I'm still trying to figure out if I'll ever get past level 60 without having to restart for one reason or another ).

When you're new it's hard to do that. One doesn't have very much experience and even less money. People just like to do things right the first time. Remember on SP how you could always reload your save if you bought something you didn't like? That doesn't happen on the server. Here, every time you try out a ship and don't like it you'll loose a few million in the transactions (this is a big deal when you're trying to save up for all the equipment goodies). It may be annoying for these questions to pop up, but it's understandable. Players don't wan't to waste time or credits if they don't have to. If anything I don't understand why an experienced player with loads of dough would post the question...

People should really try searching the past threads before starting a new one (and yes, I'm being a hypocrite... :] )

Wait, what needs a char wipe? Is there a way a convert our chars when 1.6 comes out? If not, would moving everyone to Sol work, or are the new features too much of a leap for this to work? I suppose I shouldn't fuss; my char's only a couple of days old.

From what I've heard, the Shroud's comparatively agile and the Warblade is an all-around fighter-bomber. I can't say that I've ever heard of the Shadowblade though... At any rate, ship choices should be based on personal preferences; I don't think there's any one "best" fighter. The VHFs are balanced (more or less). Just find something you really like and go with it.

What happens once he's dead? No use looking for some chap in the middle of nowhere unless there's some sort of incentive...I suppose the thrill of the hunt should suffice.

I can't say I've ever heard of this "Nickolai Petrov"...even in single-player CF. Does it have something to do with the Coalition? Would anyone mind telling me what I'm missing out on, or should I go about business as usuall and never give it another thought?

Cheaters are the bane of any server. If clanjumpers are even worse, than something must be done to stamp out the whole lot of them. Ridding ourselves of such players is for the good of the CF community; if OP says, "KOS" then KOS it is. As always, the players on this server will purge from their midst those who undermine it.

I know this a European server, but would it be possible to have a few events that are a little more schedule-friendly with the Americas? During the week it can be hard to get much time in on the server. When there's a 6-10 hour gap, it's nearly impossible to turn up for some of the events. When it's morning or evening here, it's mid-afternoon or 2 A.M. in western Europe. It's just a thought. I'd move to the UK, but that wouldn't make any sense.

Either way, I'd certainly love to be drawn into any event that doesn't directly pit uber-players against the likes of me, who are still improving thier skills (and are prone to being squashed in the meanwhile). ...wait a moment, I think I just insulted myself. Nevermind, it doesn't matter.

Being new around here, I haven't the slightest idea how to participate in any of the existing events (okay, so I know the time and the place, but nothing about the event itself or its rules), and I bet the same can be said about a number of other players as well. I think stirring up this issue and promoting participation in the events could draw a lot of people in from the outer-most fringes of this community. More players on the server more often interacting with one another more than ever, simply put, means a better CF experience.

By the way, did I read "prizes" in the last post?
