    you but no. We all went on our merry ways.

    OP,


    Can you host the PAR2 files, or do we effectivly download the mods from the


    LR site.


    If you dont host the files yourself, then posting the MD5 hash in the


    download area (with the link to the file) will enable people to check if they have a corrupt


    downlaod.


    They will just have to keep downloading it until they have an un-corrupted


    version.


    Ill wait till I know.

    email address you PM'd me. I have also included the link for the program. Any problems,

    I think everyone has had problems downloading the mod.




    It is impossible to know if the file you have downloaded is complete and


    uncorrupted. I have seen posts where people have downloaded the mod 6 times, and are still


    not sure if they have the correct version.


    The only test at the moment is - does the


    mod work. For my mind not an elegant solution.


    I have started to do some work on an


    alternative method of checking if the file you have is complete and uncorrupted.


    My


    initial idea is to use an MD5 hash posted in the download area, so people can quickly check


    if the file is OK. If there is a problem then I would suggest using PAR2 files to correct


    this.


    If no one has a better idea, or if no one objects, I can start work on the


    draft user guide, including screen shots, and links to the programs. I will post it to the


    support section for suggestions/improvements.


    Evilcaster Have you ever come across


    PAR2 files before. If you would like I can send you a PAR2 file, and a link to the software


    download page. Just PM me your email address.

    I have done exactly as you suggested:


    I have un installed 1.54


    within flmm
    I have confirmed that not old files are in my flmm folder
    I have removed


    all saved games from my \Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\Singleplayer folder
    I


    have downloaded ne copies of 1.53 and the 1.54 upgrade
    I have installed same.


    It


    might be helpful if people did a quick post saying "I have a clean install". So that we can


    see progress.

    anyone needs help.

    Could not agree more Centaurian.


    Made it


    difficult to know if the jump hole you entered, led to a minefield, or you'd been


    "lagged".


    I rushed my first attempt at mapping, which made it useless. With my second


    map, I zoomed in to each cluster of jump holes and mapped position, ignoring color.




    I checked every jump hole in the system. Long winded perhaps, but helped when lag


    killed me.


    I could now get in and out, in about 10 minutes.


    My only comfort


    while spending nearly 4 hours in there, was a mental image of OP's frustration at designing


    and de-bugging it.


    Cruelty comes so easy to us all.

    If you are having problems using


    your software, eg FL and Acrobat, it could be one of 2 problems.


    Either your user


    profile is damaged (common) or


    Your Registry is. (Also common).


    Set up a new


    user on your system, and try logging in as it, if your able to use Acrobat and FL -


    solution.


    If not, then your registry is probably the problem, in which case you may


    have to think about reinstalling your Operating System.


    If your system was working


    until recently, try to do a system restore from a recent stable date. Might


    work.
