Allways get some lag, but never that red lag you guys are describing

I have a cable conection, usually a very good connection, but nowadays it's really laggy!! I don't know why my internet provider lowered my connection to 256kbps!! I used to have 4 times that!!. I just discovered that today, and unless i get that fixed on monday, i'll change the internet provider ASAP. [3]

Good luck OP. I had recently a problem on my HDD, made my hole system unstable - just a bad cluster, wich had critical information on windows XP working. I was lucky on that, cause i had the backup of my most important files. I had to reformat my computer, and reinstal everything from zero. In that ocasion, a friend told me that he had some tools that could retrieve some part of the information on those bad clusters, but that informatiinformation could be somehow corrupted.

by the way, i saw a message on the LR page about problems with mods recently uploaded. could that explain the problem?

Hy guys, long time no see...

I have been out for a very long time,, now i'm trying to get back, but i keep trying to download the game from LR page and nothing seems to download it properly The Opera download stop, and i can't keep it from the stop point. In the maxthon, i always receive a information that the LR reconfigured the download page, and it stop too. Same happens with D.A.P. Is the LR download page overloaded? Can't we download the mod from the crossfire server anymore?

Well, that wasn't my intention, i just wanted to show another way to make faster downloads. Every single browser has weak and strong points, the only exception is the IE - only bad points ! Even the Maxthon is superior to the IE, despite it is a variation of that program .

Hi everybody, i used to play here, but since i had a few problems with my computer never was able to play freelancer again. I was reading the forum these days and would like to offer some help on the download speed. I see you generally use the flashget download manager, wich is a very fine program, but i would like to sugest a diferent aproach. Try using the OPERA BROWSER 8.51, the best browser in my opinion. It manages downloads completely diferent from the I.E., have many diferent features that improve navigation security and speed, wich makes it one of the fastest browsers available. It works with dowloads almost like a download manager, speeding up the download process, and making possible to continue the download from the point it stoped, in those cases it crashes. If the internet speed is low, the download managers are best option because they can brake the file in several smaller pieces and make the transfering faster, but if the stability is the major problem, that aproach may work fine - it worked for me.

Sorry fellows, but after the problems i had in the last week,

after making the upgrade to the version 1.54, i will not reinstall neither freelancer or any

mods to my computer. I had to reformat the HD and reinstall everything from the gound - in

fact, i still didn't installed everything i need to my work, so i wont risk to have the

same problem again. From now on, my freelancer days are over, after almost 2 years using it.

To those who still play it, farewell and make things even beter than they are now. Who

knows in the future we will meet again?

I don't use the name "chrysocyon_ZERO" on the server

when i'm playing game. That was the my char name in a previous server i used to play. In

this one, my chars are "Split" and "{LP}_Blood_Searcher_{X}" - the last one was shoot down.

Sorry, i didn't remembered wich were the systems owned by other factions.

And about

the update, i was able to completely remove itfrom my computer and restore the previous

settings on my userprofile, delete register modifications and everithing else that changed.

Now my compurter is working ok. I think that is probably not a comom problem, probably an

incompatibility with a previous installed program in my HD. But until now, i can't put none

of them away, i need my computer as it is set because of my work, and because of my security

when using the internet. All my family use this same computer, and besides i do have some

knowledge on windows and office programs, i'm not an expert that can be changing those

settings without exposing the computer to a high risk. My two children use this computer

too, and i won't expose them to some unnecessary risks just because of a game. So, untill

the game is updated again, and have a more stable build, wich is compatible to my computer

settings, i won't be playing the game on this server.

Having problems latelly with loosing data - userprofile on windows XP, after i made

that update mannualy as i said before. Had to uninstall freelancer, mod manager, all mods,

and even after that internal errors occur when trying to run adobe reader 7.0 and to instal

or remove programs. I think i'll have to restore my computer before my first freelancer

instalation and wipe all data from the game, mods and mod manager from the HD and fronm

windows register. If that doesn't work, i think i'll have to reformat my HD. I'm really

pissed because of that. I don't think i'll ever reinstall the game or the mods on my

computer

Finally did. Had to install the update manually -

copying and pasting every single file to the folder it bellongs, and editing the mod name to

crossfire 1.54 mannually.

The update i received was only a zip file, not an

autoinstaller file, the flmm recognized it only after i put it into the mod folder on flmm,

and when i launched it, nothing happened. I also had to unisntall and reinstall everything -

the flmm, the freelancer, and the 1.53 mod. Also have downloaded the update 4 times, just to

be sure it wasn't a problem with the download.

After that, when i finally connected

to the server, there was a terrible lag on the server, not only on the very populated

systems, in every place i was, the lag was just to big even for trying to attack the NPC -

just for instance, i went to custodian and was attacked by BG weaver, and just saw what was

happening when i was allready destroyed. Didn't reallized no shooting or aything wrong on

my shield until the ship poped up.

Didn't worked, man. FLMM crashed after i copyed and

activated the mod, the freelancer didn't started, crashed to desktop, then i had to

uninstall freelancer completely and the flmm to the windows return to work properly - yes,

this OS didn't worked properly after that!

Another problem guys, how do i make the updates to work? they

just expand into my documents, creating a new folder, should i just copy and paste it over

the old files?

Hi folks, i'm new here, but play freelancer for long time and was

totaly susprised when started to play crossfire and discovered the patrol paths doesn't

work. Talked to other players and always have the same answer, they also don't have the

patrol paths. Is that a mod difference from other mods, or is it a bug?
P.S.: i looked

over the forum and didn't find an answer to that, but if this have allready been answered

in any other tread, just ignore it.

By the way, i'm

interested on trying out tha KUM - Komodo dragon Very Heavy Fighter. Where can i buy it?
