I just wanted to play SP too myself , I don't have the time to go and play forever , I just wanted to play for a few days , Since i loved Freelancer when i was young . so i wanted it to play again . Always wanted to try battleships and cruisers when i was a kid, lol . Once i play for a while longer , I'll quit it and won't play again, As i said , I don't think i have time to play , College , business and investments , Life is harsh .

digi999: SP capaign is done by scripts launched in unchangeable strict order. It mean, that if you not follow preciselly instructions (mission points, orders), then your SP stop working. In this case you must use last mission save, bcs it is only one working way which start use scripts as was planned (apply it also to your mission in Dervon).
... kill drones is relative easy with good flying skills (you know you can in cf strafe also up/down and avoid most of their fire use strafe) and from start usage missiles/torps. Drones not evade much, those weapons and it can help you alot. ... and better learn how to kill them fast, they are not worse npcs you will meet
p.s.: you use ship spinning? (it can mess ship handling if used)

It wasn't so hard really , doing it with only guns was hard lol . Also what's the flying speed of a Griffin ? It's freaking fast for some reason , being a VHF , it goes 250 + on thrusters , thats faster than LF's , it's even 500 at cruise speed , How is this ship so fast ? -
what is ship spinning , like moving ships round and round ? And yes, i did get two drones, but they have massive explosions, Their explosions kill me when their gun don't lol XD I am only good at dodging really , never been a good shooter, well, I guess try using missles on them now

Also, how is the best way to kill alien drones ? just keep trying ? I got two one but died because of explosion . Also , I got that mission and abandoned it ..... I went back to utopia and then , when i was in Hudson , drones appeared but i still didn't kill them , Now i don't really know where they are, I went back to the system ,and there were no drones there . So where are the drones roaming ??

I did activate most of the functions as they were , but it works fine in normal universe , It just gets bad in the clouds , I mostly avoid fighting in the clouds as much as I can .

i use the 3rd person view , by the way . I made the berlin mission work, I am currently at Crossfire story chapter 8 . And i can still say killing the light patriot ships was harder than the dom kavash gunships , even though they hit very hard . They can be killed , even the outcast fighters and those coalition ones weren't too hard . Maybe something wrong in my graphics card maybe . In the clouds , it's very hard .
But you know, even the dom kavash ships coualdn't hit me inside the clouds . Yeah . can i suggest something ?
After crossfire story 7 , I went ahead and bought a battleship , thinking it had better armour , Well, Big mistake really , I think you should make them dockable easier , in the trade lanes, It takes forever to dock them .
Also they get stuck sometimes and can't move but i can't be fixed , I think ..
Also , is it supposed to show different sector maps in my navmap ? or is it supposed to show only the sirius sector ? And does the waypoint not work ? or is that just with me too ? like we can't set it ourselves once crossfire starts ... -
Also , you people are wrong about cargo load , I have 0 cargo but still I can't control by ship and aim , Actually it's impossible for human eyes to do some of these missions ..... or they take forever , Specially that alaska one too , Just small patriot ship, but you can't land a hit on them , why are they so fast ? not that. Why can't i control my ship ??????
Why can't the ship be controlled and the aim be controlled ? This is seriously annoying , I tried doing the whole mission again , I got throught most annoying ones and doing the patriot alaska one where i have to rescue president, Alright no cargo , nothing on me, but can't control my own ship at all ????
What is with this game ? Is fighting inside clouds bugged or what ?
Alright , If i don't get across new berlin this time, I quit this game -_- Crossfire is a headache , I can play but sorry , If i can't see, I can't play , If i can't control , noone can lay when they can't control ,I am not sure if this happens to you too , Cause no way is this possible to be easy , I can't think you people will find unable to control ship and aim easy or fun . It's like holding a sniper rifle when another person is holding the rifle and shaking it wildly , It's rediculouly impossible to aim . You gotta fix this bug or whatever it is . I have class 10 guns on an eagle , an advanced thruster , but i can't hit them , even when I hit the plus sign , it just does nothing , they still don't get hit . And they are lil useless ship -_- Funny part is , if I fly on cruise engines and go zig zag , even the AI can't land a hit on me inside these cloud , It's almost like an infinite battle , I actually have to not use cruise speed , it gives me less than .1 of a sec or even lesser to act, Since i can't even see them , Even without the cruise ,I can't aim , so What i tried to do was , I stopped using mouse fight, In fact i shut down my engines , When i remain stopped, or when i stop the ship , The aim doesn't shake .that's the only way to kill these Alaska guys, Since my hand hurts aiming at them . This is like a bug, you gotta sort the cloud thing out , Even with three hands( if i had ) I would find it still hard to control it . This is gonna ruin my eyes , After this , Im not playing it , I would try discovery maybe , if it doesn't shake inside clouds ... -
thanks guys , but i tried doing that , I saved my save files , reinstalled it , but it doesn't seem to work .... It still crashes as soon i get off new berlin . Any solutions ?

Now that's unusual, normally it crashed for ppl when you speak with Orilion, for a known reason, but to crash when it undocks ? Anyway, a crash in an unusual point of the campaign can mean that, yeah, some file is corrupted or dissapeared, or not "updated" because the file was as "Read Only" before activating the mod.
Sorry, but if for real you have no way to avoid it, like selling stuff of your ship, changing ship /weapons/scanner n everything, it sounds like you'll have to reinstall it again in clean, using CCleaner to delete registries and making sure to first do CTRL+R or "Restore Backups" before uninstalling FLMM, else when you install it again it will show Crossfire already actived, no matter you have a fresh FL install.
It is the first time I heard that (and I've seen all technical problems threads), it's totally not normal
so i have to do it all over again ? Will it definitely after re installing ? i don't wanna do the outcast and the racing mission with holvis again , I don't think a hardware problem since most games run fine on my laptop , Civ 5, Devil may cry , Crysis , COD etc

Thank you everyone , I guess i realize why is it like that now ... Also I managed to clear the vanilla campaign yesterday but when i went to the first SP campaign where you meet Orillion in the New Berlin bar , I met him in the bar, played through the whole scene , but when I launch off new berlin , The game crashes , Why would that happen ? I tried many ways and searched couldn't find anything it still crashes when i launch off new Berlin after meeting Orillion , If i do not go to the bar and launch , it works just fine , Is the campaign file corrupted ?

okay , well ,i know crossfire is hard, I read about it and understand that , I am almost through the first SP campaign , the one of the original freelancer , And the problem is when I am in clouds , and it says "Warning , Sensor efficiency reduced " . I tend to loose control of the aim and the faster i go , the worse it gets . It's like the controller or my ship is on drugs .... why is it like this ? Is it supposed to be like this ?
Because this makes the game not just hard, but almost impossible to beat in someways , I cant see the aim properly , how am I supposed to shoot ?
Well , that being said ,It is worst in the... i think 3rd or 4th mission when I was in California and i had to escort a convoy through this cloud when the outcasts attack from all sides , The convoy keeps moving even after being hit and the outcasts using dagger and they clearly outmaneuver any human in the clouds . I thing is I couldn't aim at them at all . The sensor efficiency reduced thing !!! It is so annoying , It gave me a headache trying to get that mission . Guess what I had to do ?
I had buy an eagle , Load it with class 8 and class 7 guns , And I still had to go through that mission 10 times . It's not that i die , but the problem is , The convoy just kept dieing , The convoy dies in 5-10mins ...... It's ridiculous . Means i have only 5-10 min to kill 7 or 8 planes. Once they killed the convoy in less than a minute . "Trent , It's over , we failed " and "Transport 2 is dead" . This was rather annoying . So The way i actually cleared it was, there is just this small area without clouds , and I got 30 secs to a minute to keep the outcasts there , I basically took 3 fighters down in less than a minute there , almost 4 . The rest 2 or 3 took a lil bit of time . But i somehow i cleared this mission .
The best part of this game is I think the money system , It's easy to earn money . and That's what I like .
Also , it is way harder killed light fighters in clouds than heavy or very heavy but VHF will probably kill me before i get them , but If i move zig zag like them , even they won't be able to land a hit on me .
I found the other missions with tekagi , the ones the Alaska , etc very tough too because of the clouds , without the clouds , it easier , since I am in control of my aim and ship . So what is this " Warning , sensor efficiency reduced " thing ??????? And does this only happen to me ?
Cause the sensor efficiency seems way too hard to control ,It actually gives me a headache . I wanted to complete the storyline campaign though , but if I get VHFs with strong guns in clouds in some other fights , I don't think i would complete it , It would be almost impossible .
Regenerating shields are okay, nanobots are fine, even better flying is fine, but when I loose of my aim and control of my ships, thats just not done, That's just very hard ...on a god level....
