    To all, In the spirit of the thread starter,
    My 2 best memorys of 1.57
    Riddick leading me out of Altair,
    I had a new char and no maps, I got totally turned around at the end of the run. Riddick led me home like the true M8 he seems to be. We arrived at the Omicrons and the Corsairs (I think) swarmed at me like fury (I was a Corsair harvester at that time). He couldnt help as he had to stay good with them. Shit, Shit ,oh no, Shit ! from Riddick on the chat panel as I dodged and weaved and ran like a rabbit. HE HE. A great time. :P

    Well Marshall , I did read your posts and your numbers actually seemed to have some sort of grip on reality, an effort to contribute to the thread. They did not appear to be constructed by the simple expedient of jamming the 9 key on your keyboard with bluetac while you consumed and/or discharged coffee for a while. The titles of Duke and Baron are of similar rank and the only other title I know is King and Im saving that up for when Elvis joins a X-Fire clan.

    Say what you will,
    This appears to be PURE SPAM,
    So,
    Take The Baron of Spam (Laserjet)'s number,
    and add to it The Duke of Spam (Raven)'s number,
    round it off to the nearest rational fraction and add the number of angels dancing on the head of the pins holding up my pants (2 of them, Ive lost some weight because of nervous anticipation of X-Fire 1.6) and multiply that by the Stroggs number and you will start to need a new keyboard after you SPAM that lot out and jam up the forum server properly.

    Sorry , Have I missed something about char naming ? I have 4 chars , all named differently as I am not in any clans (travel my own path and still learning the ropes)
    Should I use a common thread to bind the char names together ? Nothing in the server rules when I read.
    If this has nothing to do with a Freelancer and is aimed at a clanmember , Sorry.

  • Dropping to the desktop

    Any Suggestions Please,
    I have an annoying problem of my PC dropping out of Crossfire Mod to the desktop. The game plays on while the system resets the video mode and I am back to the desktop. I can hear the audio of the game and Freelancer is sitting on the taskbar. I click on the bar and the system resets back to the game resolution and I am back in the game. Great fun while cruising near a planet or Sun or in a battle with 10 nomads.
    The intervals seem random , twice an hour or 10 times an hour ?? I think it is a process ticking over in the background but I cant track it down.
    Has anyone had anything similar and if so any suggestions would be appreciated.


    System is pretty basic.
    Win XP Pro
    DFI LanParty nForce3/250
    Semperon 3500 (moderately overclocked)
    1 Gb ram
    ATI Radeon 9600 series (moderately overclocked) with dual monitors
    The windows install is getting a bit old and is due to be nuked in the next few months
    Thats all I can think is relevant.

    Gunny I like that idea, A raiding party tasked with fighting its way into hostile territory and defending a trader CONVOY of trains. Nowhere to park, just work hard ,and then have to fight your way back to friendly space. Scouts , Defensive groups and co ordinators to defend the trains. A cache for all the pods and cargo looted and a HUGE payoff and divvy-up at the end of the session.I'm sure it would beat the old "Taking tourists to Sigma 19" of previous days

    Im Interested enough to sign up to see what the details are Gunny. The update to CF 1.6 seems to be a possible start to interesting times with more player interactions , a clan that has a clearcut role to play could be fun. Being trained and led by a legend cant hurt either .Can I get a COMET_LAUNCHER MK2 from the secret spot you found if I join ?

  • Crossfire Database Project - Update

    Big Big thank you to JTAK for all your help while co ordinating this project. You helped me a lot when I got stuck in Altair. Big thanks also to the PIA members I went rolling through the coalition space with one looong night.
    BTW I think you may be a little modest, how many systems did you map ?19 I was told.
