im prepared to host the mod for download and i can set aside 50-60 Gb bandwidth so that's enough for over 300 downloads and because i have a 10 mb cable modem connection the download speed shouldn't be to bad how to actually make it available i have to admit im not to sure but if this interim solution is acceptable it would be np for op to arrange

i don't mean im going to colours and i hope no one leaves for colours im being sarcastic but ultimately the effect this closure will have is that ppl WILL go elsewhere and may not come back but CF isnt dead yet its still coughing up blood and guts but unless op makes some decisions soon it will be hard for the community to recover from this. Since the chaos war its took until the last 2 months that this server has got back onto its feet new server clans and tentative step towards RP and if something isnt done the rebuild process will have to begin again and it will take more months to undo the damage

yep no point continuing this thread the mods broke, the testers suck, CF closed forever, so see everyone on colours........

OK it was like this we had 4 days to conduct the testing the first day was mostly taken up with activation difficulties which op worked hard to fix.

on the second day in game testing began properly during which evidence emerged that several testers only wanted to mess around and see what was new and play around also we had trouble with limited funds so we could not test the ships. this proceeded through out the second day of testing and we reported EVERY bug we FOUND to op but due to the difficulties we faced we where extremely disadvantaged

the final day a 9 hour grid by grid search of the new DK systems was done after op had fixed some reps to be neutral with nomads and DK

so we had to test the whole of CF including 88 new ships in 3 days with little by the way of allocated funds and with uncommitted testers (by test the ships i mean every wep and equipment config not just fly it up and down for 5 mins) as you have seen the size of this mod i think most ppl will agree that this is an impossible task and that corners ended up being cut was inevitable

so if there was a failure during testing EVERYONE through out the process is to blame and in my view the testers who just fucked around and did nothing should hang their heads in shame at this latest chapter in the scandal's of CF (you know who you are im not gonna name names)

After being inactive the CSF forum now has 2 admins (me and phoenix) we will keep the boards up to date and in use but we will need all the CSFs help to make this forum become a usefull tool. Can you please4 make me and pho aware of which clan you are in so we can assign the appropiate user groups and also we need CSF news posters for both the CSF forum and this forum also we need someone from each clan to be the liason between each clan to help things be run smoothly and to be the CSF sub commanders

Try using the direct connect it specifies the particular port then and u dont need the GSL

not really cuz i know my install is fine and the download is not corrupted or anything so its best left alone but if anyone does a reninstall if u could send the last two screenies that would be cool

As some people are obviously having difficulty understanding this here is some step by step instructions with screenshots

1/ Deactivate CF or any other mod

2/ restore the backups

3/ uninstall FLMM

4/ unistall FL make sure its uinstall not reinstall and tick the box about removing user data etc

5/ run a file search to locate any lurking files that my cause problems

6/ download the mod

7/ reinstall FL

8/ renistall FLMM

9/ unzip the mod

10/ activate the mod

As far as I am aware only 1 ban has been issued for crashing the server and i made the ban for combry crashing the server upon entering many times

@ Combray If you have made a fresh install of FL you need to ask the server admin to remove the ban as serverpolice can not do this, Check this post about how to contact the admin
