Sounds like something to check out!

Thanks for the heads up, as I don't recall this title.

The last evolutionary building type game I found was X-Beyond and actually I been looking for it as I have "misplaced" my copy of it.

So I will definitely have to have a look at Reunion as well.

It's a shame we can't build our own stations and cities on planets within FL, as the universe would get quite dense indeed! LOL

Maybe someday someone can figure out a way to colonize planets, build productive stations, etc.

    (hint hint) :-)

Hey OP, Gunny, and omg IT IS WAVEY!!!! Long time no see old friends. It is so good to be back. Look forward to cruisin the system lanes with all of you once again. I damn sure have missed it, let me tell you.

Ah yes, the good ole days are gone but hopefully (fingers crossed) we have even better ones ahead of us.

    But first things first.........

It appears some unfortunate soul within the game (my first day back by the way) who also has an apparent knack for fear of disturbing iconography has been irked by a simple avatar requesting "noobs go away" which I had started with only for the "noob" comment clearly visible on it. Apparently, since it coincidentally contained an image of some religious character of previous notoriety, this soul took personal offence to the image.

After repeated attempts (while playing th game, mind you) to assure this person that I would remove the image this was not, apparently, good enough. This finally escalated into my having to leave the game under less than honorable means.

Symbolism ain't what it used to be.

So, in keeping with our ever burdensome job of sparing the feelings of the lower species and other incompetent symbol-minded, I have since removed the dastardly image in favor of a new one.

With that said, I will henceforth be changing my avatar on this board on a weekly basis in order to show other outstanding artwork being produced by todays young graphic artists and talents from all over the world, whom I believe should get some attention. I will also be listing the title of the work and the author for full credit (also to show I don't sit at home making this stuff up).

Now, could we possibly actually get to PLAY THE GAME?

    Whew ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

As always, I look forward to and welcome intelligent, freindly, and cordial discourse. Whiners, noobs, bottom-feeders and other assorted non-parentally controlled need not apply.

For the time being I will overlook the hostilities exhibited last night and chalk it up to a misguided delusion of grandeur.

    ...non a al betise humaine...

Hello to the gang, OP and the other BGs, and all clans and freelancers.

    Where to begin........

I been offline for over 16 months now, and havent been a reg on CF since September 05.

Though I must say I still play Crossfire SP every day, missing the chance to get in to the mix......until now.

So I guess at this point that things have changed a lot, some folks are gone, some are new, and hopefully some are still here.

I havent had the chance to see the new 1.7 yet but I will take a look this weekend as best I can under the time constraints. I do look forward to the new "stuff" and could most likely use some pointers. :))

So.......anyone still here since 09-05? I would be interested in getting the chance for some catchup, fill-in-the-gap kinda thing.

Most of all, glad to see the game and forum still up and cooking.

    ......Sigh.........the good ole days.

Drop a line, reply, et al, will talk again soon.

    Hi m8s.

    I have to move to

another state here in the US so I will be out of commission for awhile. Hopefully when I get

a broadband back up again I will be back but it will be several weeks, assuredly.

    In

the meantime, thanks to Darkstalker and the rest of the PIAs. Thanks all and hope to see

    you as soon as possible.

    The Beer Rules

Ok, I hardly post here but when one talks beer, you have come

    to the meister. :-)

I drink so much and so many beers, I have paid for most all

advertising of all beer makers, world wide, personally.

    The preeminent beers have

variations of best temperature and serving conditions (glass, bottle, can, shot glass,

    rubber bag, etc).

Personally, as long as it is cold (45 degrees F or less) it will

    suffice.

I know the room temp beer afficianandos will cry foul on that one, but I

have slammed many of both, and in the end it is the colder ones which win for me. Thats

    me.

You can have your pilsners, your ales, your bachs, your lights, your darks, your

thicks, and thins, but eventually its the temperature for me that wins the

    chug-a-fest.

Beer naming contests are only for effete snobbish wannabes. Only after

you can drink 5 Sapporo 16 oz cans and stand up and remember you drank them can you say you

    know a beer name.

    (Jagermeister hardcores excluded).

    China makes a good

    Tsing-Tao.

    Mexico makes a good Tecate.

Canadian beer generally sucks but thats

    only my opinion.

Australia's Fosters is pretty good, but you have to drink it fast

and many of them until you pass out before you can say that.

    Italy has a very good

beer, obviously since I cant recall the name it HAS to be good. After all, the pope even

    drinks it.

But in the end, its not who is best, or who has the most potent, its about

    the experience.

And my fellow beer drinking chums, when one talks beer, we are

    talking a universal language.

I wrote an article once that said, if aliens from

another universe came here, their word for beer would be "beer".

    Thats how it

    is.

    Beer is beer.

The argument may now commence. :-)

    :D

    Thanks all for the

    help!

I found out what happened the first time out there.

    I use a 4-button

wheel mouse with "dock" set to a thumb button so I don't have to use the menus. But I

couldn't highlight the rift and therefore would not dock.

    Silly me, I forgot

completely about the Solars menu and sure enough it turned up and I went on up to Styx.

    Yea!!

Unfortunately I got my butt kicked terribly, so I have a lot more work ahead of

    me now....LOL.

Also, the level 0 Mk9 armor plugin only lasted about 0.5

    nanoseconds.

Again, thanks and I guess now I gotta go back to Sirius and hunt down

molecular shields instead of the lvl-10 gravitons I have now - they cut through that like

    hot butter. :-(

    Tanks again!!

    Thanks Sands.

Yeah, the downloads for both 1.52 and the

OpenSP came down broadband in fine shape and were installed over a new install of Freelancer

as per instructions. I played this during the OpenSP version without the SP missions.

Actually, I have run into no other problems as far as hiccups, glitches or crashes,

and the MOD appears to be operating as it should.

For some reason I could not select

the rift and I flew through at about 25K to make sure I didn't miss it. Went all the way

    through.

I'll go back out there tonight and see if I can get docked.

    If not

will report back or wait for further instructions.

    Thanks again!

    I finally

hunted down all of the data disks and located the "special" jump

    point.

Unfortunately, I could not dock, or use it.

    I was playing the full

Crossfire 1.52 with the OpenSP addon.

Do I have to go through the entire SP mission

game or did I do something wrong or miss something (wouldn't surprise me at this

    point)?

Thanks again! ...and keeping on keeping on.

    Can't stop saying how

    great this MOD IS!!!

I had to go back again and listen all

over to make sure I heard right the first time...LOL

    Fanstastic audio work there

guys! Basically, you did what everyone else has thunk all this time. hahaha

    I'm

still waiting to see if anyone has the cajones to plant a nude skin on Juni, just for

    "entertainment purposes". :-)

Oh well, during these days one needs to find humor

where one can find it, doesn't one?

    Thanks!

    Thanks Baldwin!

    I must say one

HAS to use process of elimination.

I won't give the solution here as it is

DEFINITELY too complicated for here, and I think I am suffering a brain aneurysm from

working this out....LOL.....but finally made it back out.

For the rest of you reading

this, do not go to Hiruga unless you have a LOT of free time, patience, and a big piece of

    paper...write EVERYTHING down.

Finally, as for that little dead end surprise you

sneaky devils put in there, everyone: SAVE SAVE SAVE....hehehehe

    Thanks

    guys!!!!

Now I can continue the fight.

Is there a short version of how to get out

of Hiruga and back to Choguku?

Every jumphole I hit just recycles me back into the

    same system and another location.

I eventually made it over to the Dragon base on the

far side of the system and actually got back to the start location (after considerable inner

    system jumps).

Though I am sure this seemed like a good idea at the time, and though

I do enjoy good puzzles, the apparent meaninglessness and time consumption is terribly

    inconvenient. :-)

Otherwise I have enjoyed the MOD up to this point. I would very

much like to continue on if you would be so kind as to offer some suggestions.

    Thanks

ahead of time for your patience and great MOD here guys!
