OP, were all the missiles changed to become like that or the vannila missiles (thinking about Cannoball and Firestalker) are as before?
About the changes, I supose they are good, and it seams we will have some months of learning to PVP again, which is not bad at all (in another way it will destiguish CF from the other mod's, I just don't don't know if it's good or bad, I supose is good).
About the reduction of missiles I always though about it as the reduction of slots for high damage missiles, wich could pass by reducing the class 10 slots for 2 or 3 in VHF'a and making all the high damage missiles class 10 (of course class 10 weapons would have to be reduced to class 9), or something like that.

I don't even think there is a better mod, if you look with atention you will find about 6 or even 8 very well done mods around, and noone of them is better then the others.
There's also much about the communities, server managements and purpose of the mod (as it is meant to be Single Player or only Multiplayer). they also explore freelancer in diffrente ways. In the end you can only play it to make a decision.
By last, the best mod doesn't have to make the best server, which doesn't need to have the bigest ammount of players. Is all muc about what you are looking then what the other's are looking for.

Taikodom is the Brasilian MMORPG which has been in Beta for the last 2 years and is now in the process of translation/launch to the international market.
The first time you log in, you will find what you have been probably waiting for so long, the Eve environment and mechanics with real time PVP. You will be easily catch by the sensation of being able to do the almost the same same you do in Eve with a bit more of your own skill. The Graphics are quite good, the economy quite interesting, you can join corps and play different kind of roles, still there are still some bugs to be fixed by the development team, mainly in missions.
The main story is quite interesting, since you are supposed to be just who you are but resurrected from, extases 300 years later. You can choose and built your character from 3 different skills/professions: Scout, Ace, Bomber and trader. From there on you will build your character with skill points (no skills to be learned for weeks), making missions, mining, trading and learning the ways of the game.
The main problem of Taikodom are still the bugged missions and the unbalanced economy between the players who chose to pay for special features and for the players who play for free. Some people also complains about the game being a bit to slow.
In the end Taikodom, seams to be a promissing new game that will for sure take is way torught the list of best sci-fy MMORPGS around, still, the location of the server (in Brasil) is still one obstacle for the main of the European players to try it. Let's hope that something is done about that when the official international release is made.

Yes, ships seam to be quiet unbalanced, lagg is quiet fast, and the only ship I think it can generally stand against it is Saracen, it would be fun to have other sort of guns (different speeds and fire rates), still is is not a must.
about missiles, yes I think they should be limited to 2 in most of the fighters.
generally the rest is quit good, and people loves it, honestly I still think it is the best pvp in freelancer mods or vannila.

great for a first try, congratulations, it would work very weel as a freighter or something a bit bigger then that, probably and a new armored transport or gunboat (or something between both)

Freelancer needs a place like the Lancers Reactor back, one unique place where all the freelancers can join to find about mods and news of freelancer, advertise mods, servers and clans.
knowing that BP is back, hopefully the old list of The Lancers Reactor registered users can be recover and the word spread in to gatter all the old players in one place
there's to much places/portals around sharing modding information which in some way is spreading the community in stead of uniting it.
There was a time when the lancers reactor was on of the first links to show on google when looking for freelancer game, that's the place where it should be right after the the official freelancer site.
I am not against the creation of new mods (to be true I enjoy to try different mods), but the true is that the wide range of servers is spreading the community more then uniting it, I am not saying that they should finish, but I am saying that there's the need of more freelancer modders to unity in the way of making high quality mods.
For last, the greater thing in freelancer is the join of difrent sorts of playing in one only game, since the pvp, exploration, trading, the engine itself is not the better for it, the concept behind the game is the strong thing, if there is any engine out there capable of making something like freelancer, then it should be the place for the modders to look at...

I really don't see the point, all you need to have that information is to build a store which has been in every single base the Mod, get the most profitable itens (90% BMG) and keep it docked as your personal database, the database should be earn rather then given by a side program.
