There is extreme overclock aswell. Modifing card bios or last step - volt mod to push the card beyond it limits. I was thinking to do a volt mod on mine but i think its too risky in my case and a new cooling would be needed. You can do alot with your card, depends how far you want to go.

Is updated list of FL supported cards is needed to update it again with current boards on the market or no?

A new line of modified drivers is starting. Its name will be FX Edition. Only best driver releases are used to build their modified version under the FX name. All cards are supported except the oldest from TNT series. Still keep an eye on release notes for each driver and keep yourself updated for the changes.

Get something cheap for temporal use? X1300 or 7300GS/GT. I seen card like mine - GeForce 6600 now sell for ~$60 still best bucks for the pipes (performance) and clocks alot.

ATi actually have a pretty good drievr for vista atm concidering the one that nvidia offer atleast untill mid december.

Some special jetway mobos can "split" one PC with two terminals means two monitors, keyboards, mouses so you need two graphic cards, its advantage if you have two sounds cards and dua lcore processor. Each user will eb able to work separately on his own windows account. Pretty smart if you ask me - saves some $$$ for second PC.

I dont want to change your mind about buying new card but in february 2007 both ATi and nvidia should ship alot of high/mid/low range DirectX 10 hardware cards. This would make sense getting one of those for future games. Atleast, thats what i'm thinking to do.

You could just look for temporal new leader untill you find some more time to be able to play, but disbanding the clan seems easier for ya.

It simply runs several short tests i mean like ingame video without you actually playing. The graphic details are verry high and its full with any kind of effects. Program takes the average FPS (frames per second) in each test and with a math formula calculates the final result.

Just managed to run 3dmark 2006 with the new patch on and new beta drivers (cause it didnt worked with older drivers) and without overclock, just a modified BIOS of the video card (300/600) i got score of exactly 1000 running the test on Windows Vista Ultimate RTM x86.

EDIT: Score officially uploaded. My score is 4th from all 5 scores uploaded and made public from Windows Vista nomatter the hardware used. Firts score thee is from X1950 then 7950GT then 6800GT and the 4th is mine. There is one mroe which is behind cause its with radeon X700 Mobility. Concider all thsoe cards have no overlock (except if its made on video BIOS level - modified BIOS) cause Windows Vista dont allow video overclock atm.
