  • Questions, suggestions for CF 2.0

    This is a 2002/3 game, and there are limitations to what can and can'not be done.
    OP has stated this time and time again.


    The Original Freelancer you could not buy Capships, Crossfire you can, yet there are still ppl that are not happy
    with it, seems strange to me.
    I am hearing lights, and conversations between you and NPC patrols regarding missions, they all sound good to me
    but as i pointed out, limitations to this current game engine code.
    Now oc you can have all and everything that you want, but ONLY if it use's a different game engine such as the
    famous CRY ENGINE3.
    Until the powers at large on here learn the coding and if they WANT to take the next leap in the Crossfire franchise,
    you will have to put up with its current way and try to enjoy it that little bit more.


    Remember, the more you try to add to its current engine, in most case's something else will suffer along the way.
    I for one would not like to see that happen here.

    Done......


    And i am NOT gonna run down any other Mod on this thread....
    All the mods out there have some great playability and some great ideas,
    But for me Crossfire ticks all the right boxes, and continues the story somewhat,
    where others don't.


    Its great to see that Dev teams all over the world, are trying to keep a very old
    game current and exciting, i salute you all. :love:

    Yes NucNuc I have been to this site, but it still doesn't change my opinion on
    what i said in my post further up.
    Call me old fashion, but i prefer to buy my games through a proper source
    like a computer store or on the net.


    Braben, has just jumped on the band wagon,,, he saw what Roberts has done, and he
    IS doing something simular to him.
    I understand that he is not trying to save the world or belittle others as OP put it, but imho
    its STILL not the best way and looks wrong to me.
