    I just came back to Crossfire and I have played multiplayer successfully but today the Crossfire Launcher just crashes all the time?
    any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Well Mr Swat operator I appreciate its nothing personal that you have penalized me for posting about Shadow Of Fear, never the less I find your attitude less than gracious towards another team which has produced
    a varied and interesting mod with a different take on Freelancer.I was only attempting to let fellow Freelancers know about their options for trying another mod,if you have a personal problem with the folks who put
    together Shadow Of Fear then it is your personal problem but don't put other people off another Freelancer mod just because of some people " which tried to damage our community" in the past.

    Just wondered has anybody tried the new Freelancer MP Mod Shadow Of Fear,I believe its based on Flak 88
    check it out its a very strange Freelancer Mod.No Missions in bars but there are "Hook Generated Missions"??
    Its also Very hard!

    Thanks Gibbon for the links to David Brabens new Elite,its been many years since 1984 when this game exploded onto the BBC-B to pave the way for Every other space sim,Chris Roberts is only building on what Messrs Braben and Bell created and as such his new game will be way inferior to anything that David Braben does! Just wait and see!

    For my money,I don't give a toss about Chris Roberts and his game it just looks like a money making operation to me with little or no imagination,the one we should all be watching is ELITE Dangerous
    David Braben has far more integrity and cares and knows that ELITE started it all shields,hull,guns,trading an all the weird and dangerous aliens you care to fire a laser at in a unfolding universe
    especially Thargons.Forget Nomads these were the first real alien threat in any game,and came as a shock after dealing with the normal N.P.C's. Witchspace was another innovation,you launch,set your target
    location and instead of getting there you are dragged into Witch Space to fight the Thargon menace and you dont have a clue where you would come out on the nav map.
    The closest anyone has come is Crossfire...heading in the right direction.

  • Genesis 1.2 mod released!

    Hi Gibbon
    Thank you for your patience with me,I have put away my little hacks and now intend to get my teeth into your marvelous Genesis mod,for some reason I had forgotten about the make another character option and the banking option so Thanks for reminding me I shall buy a Rhino and do some trading as you suggest,oh yes resizing the planets was a masterstroke,I will now get my brain in gear and set the controls for the heart of the sun.

  • Genesis 1.2 mod released!

    I think Gibbons mod is great,I love the resized planets but I dont love the cruise speed (300) or the trade lane speed (2500) its so slowwww,in Crossfire I could have a decent fighter and weapons in not very long from the start,but in Genesis it takes forever to get to mission waypoints at 300 and just as long to dock again,and getting to wrecks that are 50 or so klicks away...well you might as well put the kettle on!.Its a great mod but it drags and loses exitement.Up the cruise speed gibbo lets fly a little.
