How to address clans

    This post is partially an apology to the H5N1 clan.


    Recently I entered Enyo system without knowing that it was a system owned by H5N1. Beforehand I had checked the page at http://www.crossfire.swat-portal.de/clansystems.htm
    which is *very* out of date. I thought I had done my homework but found out that I was stepping on peoples toes - big time.


    I have been browsing the forums for a few weeks and had received bunches of relevant answers when i asked a question. How great - a forum that lives and cares.


    On the other hand I have also noticed some sadness regarding entry of new players - especially rp kinds of new players. My simple antidote to this problem must be the following: Make an updated space for new players to visit. This site should host all the basic information that any new player would want to know.


    I had to spent some time searching the forum until I found an updated map of clan systems (by Gust) which has proved helpfull and it certainly shows that Enyo is owned by H5N1.


    H5n1: As you can probably figure I really, really would like access Enyo. Can I be granted access?


    @The rest of you: Thanks for a fine bunch of pilots!


    And finally my question: When I want to address a clan what should I do? Does a given clan have a center of information (forum space) or does a clan have a spokes person?

    That reminds me, I still have to update that map.


    Anyway, I believe all serverclans here have a forum (some members have links in their sig, like me) and you can always contact leaders/commanders/officiers of clans for information that maybe not every member knows. If you're ingame you're best of just asking any member of the clan online. They should know their superiors and forum.

    Just checked, and can confirm that you are right.


    Only problem is that flickery text is not noticed by people suffering from banner blindness :rolleyes:
    If you use the net a lot you tend to develop "banner blindness" and what I asked for was a welcoming place for new users - this place should also be available in the forums I believe.
    It is my conception that new users would feel more welcome if these basic infos were easy available to all newcomers.

    when i started playing it was on CF 1.6 that map outdated than and it is konw :) i had similar problems then like you now with trespassing and the were no launcher :D
    besides not all clan systems are in it


    i woud like to explore clan systems what is clans wiev on that i don't want to buy anythig or loot wrecks
    i have some clan systems explored (they were free at the tme) but still some is left and i dont see them palying and i don't want to trespass

    As far as CFPD is concerned, we have a policy in effect in the System Rules forum.
