That advice only applies once you've reached the Nagara outpost. If you start out taking the lower right anomaly all the time, you'll just fly in circles until you pass away quietly in your cockpit and are never heard from again.

I have exactly the same problem. The next other anomaly is within the surrounding mine field. There is no chance to survive while trying to reach that one.
Also if you try to use the bottom anomaly at the Sakamoto Station/Outpost you jump into that mine field and get destroyed.

Just found out (after installing the Patch 1.70a) that it is possible to use the anomaly nearby the sun. Just fly from Nagara Outpost in direction to the sun. The anomaly is REALLY nearby the mine field so be carefull.
Maybe it works also without the Patch.

That is the jump you're supposed to take after going to Nagara
