I keep seeing a message online: "Type /? to get a list of console commands."
I am embarrassed to even ask, but....
...am I the only one that can't figure out how to open a console window and use console commands? Whaddya whaddya?

Are u meaning an console window like those in first person shooters? No, there's no such thing in Freelancer.
The "/?" you type in the chat window, in the system chat channel, as a normal message.

you can type it in console, you just need to choose the system chat in the chatwindow, then if you hit "up" or "down" you can swich between systemchat, groupchat or console.
Actually you can type the commands in systemchat aswell, but the point is, everything you type in systemchat other pipl in the system can see. If you use the console, noone can see it, so there is no chat/spam-waste on the window of other pipl

To type a message in the console:
1. Press ''Enter'' and open the system channel
2. Press your upper arrow key once (or twice if you are in group)
3. Enter the console command
4. Press ''Enter''
