  • I have the latest crossfire mod and works great in single player, but i dont know how to get on the crossfire server? do i need some extra mod to type in the server IP, i cant find where to add the ip in mutiplyer options?

Please help im a bit slow.

    Si

  • No, you dont need anything exept of Freelancer Mod Manager and the Mod itself, actual version of course.

Just if you start the game, go to Multiplayer, then you will see your MP ID (write it down and keep it safe :D ) then you will be asked to agree something unimportant and then you have to deside between internet and lan playing.

If you have chosen Internet, you will see a list of servers, you should klick on Filter button and activate "Hide Servers with uncompatible Builds". So you will see only the Crossfire Server.

You should also check if Freelancer is allowed to connect to Internet in your Firewall and Router.

Thats all I had to do 8)

  • Hmm, strange, dou you really have the correct mod version? It should be the 1.57.

Sorry but I dont know what to do with the server IP, you should look for posts from Grinder, he explained it a time ago in the forums, it was to write the IP behind the FL shortcut or the FL exe file...I dont remember exactly

  • LOL, download the 1.57 and install it, without deleting 1.56, coz 1.57 is an update to 1.56!!!

If it will work well, you wont need the IP 8)

  • If you make it to the screen with the list of servers, just scroll down to the Crossfire 24/7 server. Then hit the connect button in the lower right corner of your screen and you're in.

The next time, you can set the filter to screen out servers you've never used and all you'll see is Crossfire 24/7.

  • its easier to set the filter to exclude servers with incompatible builds than searching the whole list if u have not been online yet

  • I can usually find the Crossfire server from the whole list in less than a minute. Once you find it, the next time is easy cause you filter out everyplace you haven't visited, et Voila! there you are.
