The time is drawing nearer – the highly anticipated release of BioWare’s latest space RPG, Mass Effect Andromeda, is set to release March 21 (March 23rd EU) and fans couldn’t be more excited. We’ve had so many teasers and reveals, events, and introductions – the hype is real. Players that enjoyed Mass Effect 3’s Multiplayer will be excited to know that a beta for the Andromeda MP experience is on the horizon, we just need an official announcement first.
Ian Frazier, the game’s lead designer, took to Twitter to answer a few questions from the fans, and one question in particular put a spotlight on the MP. “Odds are good”, said Frazier when telling fans that there would be a good chance of an official announcement for the Andromeda beta this month.
@FatherOfPearl1 Odds are good.

Those looking forward to the pre-release access need to make sure to sign up on BioWare’s official website here. During the application process, it asks about the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC – so one can assume that the beta will be open to all platforms, though that has yet to be confirmed.
BioWare has since stated that the multiplayer will tie into the main game’s storyline, much to a very mixed reaction from N7 fans. Though unlike Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, it has been said that Andromeda’s will be more versatile with waves of fresh enemies to break up the monotony while forcing the player out of the comfort of cover.
We also know that Andromeda will not be having a season pass and that free DLC is in the future, though the specifics have not been disclosed. We’ve also met a few of the team members such as Peebee and Liam, as well as some of the NPCs throughout the journey. A Salarian pilot, a female Turian squadmate, more open world – Andromeda is shaping up to be an amazing ride if the teasers are anything to go by. You can also see a full disclosure of gameplay at the video here that was released during the Video Game Awards. A longer video, but very informative for gamers looking to see what the future holds.
EA Access members will also get first dibs on the gaming experience, as they will have early access to the title prior to launch. The exact date is still unknown, but Frazier has mentioned that there are plenty of announcements still on the way.
Mass Effect Andromeda is set to release on all platforms March 21 (NA) and March 23 (EU) – if the site is a bit quiet that day, you know why. So what are your thoughts on the Andromeda beta, gamers?
