Star Citizen on Social Media!

Greetings Citizens!

In the last week, Star Citizen’s social media communities have taken off! There’s been a renewed interest in connecting to the Cloud Imperium team via Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere. One of our favorite parts of the development process is connecting with backers, sharing our thoughts and ideas… and the world of Social Media is another place to do that.

Social Media is not your source for Star Citizen news. Our Facebook and Twitter primarily link back to the Comm-Link, which is the ‘newspaper of record’ for Star Citizen. But they’re still a great way to connect to the team, to share your support and to stay in touch with Star Citizen on the go. We feel strongly that the Roberts Space Industries website should be the first place official news is revealed… but we’re aiming to make our social outreach more fun, too. Additionally, many individual developers have their own social media feeds that they are willing to share with the community (listed below.)

Are you a Star Citizen?

Earlier this week, we kicked off the #Imastarcitizen and we want to invite you to share your citizenship. Backer Human_Error hosts a website you can use to generate your own info card. All you have to do is provide some information about who you are in the ‘Verse. Even if you don’t want to make an info card, we’re interested in hearing from you: what are you excited about, what do you want to see in the game… what makes you a Star Citizen?

Can you collect them all?

On Instagram, we’ve just kicked off a sort of collectible card set! Everyone can access them by following us on Instagram. We’re all fans of classic sci-fi trading cards, and thought it would be neat to mock up our own set for Star Citizen and the team! The Vanguard card pictured here is the first example.
