I have played FL 7 years ago, only now have I found out about your mod.
Sterescopic 3d is GPU intensive so one of the best reasons to play old games is 3d.
I have found a tridef3d profile for Freelancer but I couldn't yet get it to work with Crossfire.
The error I get:

Maybe it's worth having a look at Sweet FX ... probs with windows 8
It's about SweetFX shader and Windows 8.1
Hmmm, did you test this tridef3d profile with vanilla Freelancer or another mod for it already ?
From your screeny I would also suggest it's more related to your system than Freelancer or Crossfire as it seems to relate to a .dll in the system and not the Freelancer/Crossfire library.
(Sry, if I might get it wrong, but I am anything but a computer/software crack.)
Crossfire is using a modified exe, thats why it wont work.
