I finished all ground STFs elite with optional few times...its no problem at all. I have all end game sets (omega, maco and adapted maco), also no ground traits at all on my char except defoult for human race. Using turet fabrication and enemy neutralization kit (its choise of play style). Devices: gambling device, dosi rotgut, hypos and large energy cell.
For IGE (infected ground elite) last room almost all strategy work. Fastest is 3 players go right platform (console team), 2 players clear left platforme and center (no turets and mortar). When console team finish right platforme all go on left and just clean all borgs from room (console team do only console).
Also works clean left, right and center. Console team start with right platforme other two players clean room.
I found jumping is easiest with sprint+jump.

Also its very ussefull, flank enemy (buff shield before) press X for dmg bonus and dont stop.
Use Crossfire tribble or gambling device.
Use large energy cell.
C and X is yuor frend.
Flank.
Pulswave is best weapon for Borg.
Press twice W or (A,S,D)...
Engineers spawn XYZ devices, borgs need targets to shoot.
