  • Hi folks,

Have you noticed our new inter-members battle system, at the Games button ? (the one in the dark toolbar, next to the "DOWNLOADS" button).

Until not long ago, it was still being modified, improved and fixed by OP, but now it's functional, and you can have fun in it... battling other people in this community, no matter what games they play, or of they are not active on the Crossfire server (though that is not the only game the Portal supports, some people came for other games than this).

Anyway, it's located at the GAMES button up in the features bar, always accessible and looks better than before :D

    Here's a link: http://www.swat-portal.com/php…ndex.php?page=BattleStart

There're already more than 10 players in it, but none of them have a huge advantage, YET ! ^^ You can see them, and what they have (money, level, attack/defence points, and even their mounted equipment, visible in the new Info window on your ( a gamer's ) profile, like this:

    Profileadd.PNG
As you can see, it's next to my images, comments, and such, on my profile.

You can also see more item details by rolling over them with your mouse :D

Remember that same as how you can see your own equipment, life and experience points, you can see other player's info too, but other people can also see yours.

This game will also add an extra info line under your Avatar, visible in any post you make, like mine:
    Battlesystem.PNG
    Which you may notice right...
<----------------------- Here :D (on this side of the post).

Clicking on that line will get you to the game.

Until meeting somebody else to fight with, you simply have to train yourself (by fighting with NPCs), and work for extra money. If your life bar goes to 0, you get unconscious and immediately moved to the Hotel, to sleep, to recover your health. Sleeping takes time, and money, so be careful ^^

There are many possible character types, chose the one that fits your style/feeling more, no need to copy others :D

And it also has a very interesting feature, of watching others battle, like, an user against a NPC while training, OR a Player vs Player ! So we can even make tournaments on this game, as we can watch how others are battling, their tactics, and the winner :D

That's the basics of it, the rest, up to you to discover, have fun !

  • I can not figure out rules for combat...who and how to win etc

  • There are no rules for combat, you got the options/moves you have when you are fighting, and when you roll over them with the mouse, you can see detailed info on what that move does.

For example rolling over the "Healing" button, in combat, it shows a new small message saying:
"Who wants to survive longer can recover 10% of the maximum life energy! But that takes time. During the healing you are attacking with approximately 80% of your attacking skills !"

Which means that you get life points, and still attack the opponent, but a bit weaker.

The higher power skills/buttons are grey/locked, because you need more energy/Power to use those. When you start a fight, you start with 15 power points (no matter how many you had when you finished the last fight).

It looks like a battery icon, and next to it "Power: 15", which is under your Cash ammount, above your life and experience points (Blue bar).

You gain 15 power points for every turn, but that changes when you use skills, for example, roll over the "Power Attack" button, it says "Power 8", that means it consumes 8 power points from that turn, so instead of getting 15, you get 7. Where those 7 are added to your 15 inicial power points, so, you got 22 now.
Other skills like "Defend" and "Attack" say "0" power, so you don't spend any power, you get the total of 15 power points.

And this way you get enough power to use the higher power skills, like the "Power Surge" for which you need 50 Power points already on you (so it doesn't count the next 15 you will get with that turn), and make double damage to the opponent, in one shot. But since the opponent has a defence level, like 10 Defence points, it can practically triple the damage to your opponent. For example, a 20 attack skill vs his 10 defence points makes him 10 life p damage. But 2 x 20 attack skill (Power Surge) vs his 10 def p , is a total of 30 life p damage.

Your basic attack skill, the 100% of yours, are the attack points power you have on your character, which inicially are 10 points. Inicially you have 5 defence points. You can increase those every level, as you get 3 skill points, but you already start with few skill points at the beggining (by what I remember), so don't forget to spend those :D

The final "rule" of how to win, is to get the opponent's life bar to 0, as in any game.

    This should be... it ?

Simply experiment with the skills and powers to find the best tactics for your character.

There are no differences in efficiency for equipment related to your character, so a swordman could use a bow, and the bow would still add the (for example) 5 attack points it says when you buy it.

And levels are easy to get, at least the inicial ones, don't worry seeing others like OP or Me 10 levels higher, you can make them in 20 minutes in 3 days. Notice that there's a battles and work limit for each day, so you can only do 30 battles / day. This means, try to pick the toughest NPC which you can kill without risking your life (too much), so you get more exp points and money.

  • Any question, doubt, or a battle challenge, and stuff related to this portal's feature, feel free to ask here :)

The game is not complicated, as there are no actual rules, just the way the buttons and math works, but no limitation to how you use them :D

  • As an update, I see there are more players in there now, and even heavy competition !

There's even a player richer than me, though yesterday there were TWO Richer than me xD

I was able to get 2 levels in a day (counting I was level 12, at first I could do several levels in a day), and well, a 3rd level after midnight counting portal's time, when the limit fights and works reset.

It's not hard to get the rest of the people's levels, YET :D

The more you late, the harder it'll be to be at our "level", and well, for sure in some cases it's easier to be at our level in THIS battle system than on the Crossfire server :P Agiliy and Speed doesn't matter anymore, but you still need brain and tactis to win, it's more than just an image/text based game.
