Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Digital download - no CDs to swap!

  • I have been playing games on home computers since the BBC ‘B’ came out around 1981-82.

In that time I had the Commodore 64, Amiga 500 and then PCs all the way.

In that time – I only purchased a few hints and guide books, a few golden few – and I still have them.

    FBPRO 95
    Fallout 3
    Oblivion

And I purchased a guide book for Final Fantasy 7. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to consoles – I can’t stand them – awful machines that suck the IQ right out of your brain – the games themselves are too expensive and what sort of retard prefers a joystick/control pad over the silky smooth movements of a mouse?

So I missed all the final fantasy series until the company got together and released FF7 on PC around 1998

A Japanese style role playing game – lots of fights – lots of funny moments – I still have the original CDs – but who likes swapping disks around these days right – with hard drives running over 1TB – why do you need to swap disk 1 and then disk 2 etc

Roll on the recent good news – FF7 has been released (again) on PC via digital download – it has been corrected to work on modern machines and has the ability to work within much higher resolutions.

There is an option to cheat and max out all your chars if you want – I am resisting that at the moment –

If anyone wants to experience an all time classic in JRPG – try this out – you won’t regret it. Not available everywhere I am afraid to say.

By the way – if anyone knows about this game and can explain how the material works – I would be grateful.
