Particle colors set for engines?

  • The particle colors, for the lanes and the jump-gates and guns I get, but why engines? Each engine has different colors so when you have a red engine and you charge it up, it looks weird to have something like blue instead of red particles to charge it, which makes me a little peeved that some engine doesnt have the right colors for each engine. I don't know much about coding for freelancer, but is it hard to get all of them to have the correct color engine particles or is it extremely hard, as I don't get why it has to be a fixed color for everything. Discovery didn't do the one size fits all thing so why crossfire?

  • FL has only one particle effect
changing it will change ALL effects making use of it

Only dead fish swim with the stream.

  • I remember from the freelancer singleplayer without mod that Anubis had its own particles , as with the other ships that had colors so what makes the mod use only one particle over a diverse range?

  • the fact that there is only 1 texture being used by all these effects
proof: i only changed one texture with the mod option script and still all these effects change their color

so whatever you seem to remember from the singleplayer of one ship engine can not be applied to the rest of the game
