Max lvl is 100. It will take u a few hundred years. CF 1.9 will be out when it is done.

max level ? as far as I know it's level 100 (depending on your wealth, including ship (whats worth of equipment ect) and credits on your char) - at least for multiplayer
how long it takes till you reach it? - its on you, as more you play as faster you reach it1.9 ? yes, its on the way. When does it get released? I dare to quote OP "when it's ready" Sometime this year, if everything works out the way it should.
ps: is the level so important ?
the game doesn't stop when you reached the max level. just so you know
