Hi,
i stumbled over a thread on another site about Freelancer interfaces and remembered a few Screenshots from Crossfire.
At ModDB the crossfire mod contains pictures showing a new shiny golden interface (to my knowledge the only of it's kind).
I downloaded the mod to see it but I can not find it under the various interface selections. What am I doing wrong?
Another question I have is if this new Interface is just a reskin or something completely new?
Can it be used in other mods too?

I have to assume that you downloaded the mod from moddb (thats the latest public build)
however this interface you are refering to is part of the upcoming Crossfire 1.9 mod (which can not yet be downloaded)
so actually you are doing nothing wrong, u just need to wait until we release the new versionthe interface is the first of its kind, it is no re-skin, it is 100% custom and to my knowledge nothing like that has been done anywhere else
I have heard that other mod creators work on something similar but are months behind our developmentif it can be used in other mods is something that other mod creators should ask me, at the current point of time i can say that it is unlikely that I will release a standalone version or give general permission to use it outside of crossfire
