first off, i know this is a bad way to start off BUT.....
i'm in town for a couple weeks and i may pop into CF....so hello
secondly, the point of THIS thread is for some tech support for a bluetooth headset i bought to *at the time* use with my cell phone (i bricked the phone )
i managed to buy a bluetoothe usb dongle and attached it to my computer (sidenote completely related to nothing: USB devices are sluts...going in and out of everything...giggity)
anywho, after much fiddling with drivers and hairpulling, i finally got it paired with Toshiba drivers (the headset is a "beginner" bluetooth device, the Jabra BT2080)
now here is where the tech support comes in: the earpiece is very distorted. even for playing windows noises...considering the device was meant for a PHONE. and i cant seem to get a signal from my voice to get it to be recognized in Windows 7 (XP is useless 'cuz services dont show up with the windows default bluetooth stack) in other words, windows cant pick up my voice from the headset
i will try to install the toshiba drivers in XP and go from there....does anybody else have any input?
thanks much
PE
