try with dock
You're still stuck in there? Kill yourself if you're stuck in the outside. Go as close as possible to the wall of the station and shoot missiles and mines.
Ahhhh... Well, I've had this happen more times than I can count, even back during 1.7. 
There are probably two solutions you can try that will get you out of there:
1. The less destructive way, try to get exactly centered up in the docking port(try using your left, right UP AND DOWN strafes to do this, it's the easiest way) facing right next to the exterior docking bay doors. Then hit the dock key.(F3) If you go immediately into the station, success! If not, cancel the dock procedure and start all over again. Remember, there is a certain "sweet" spot you must get in the dock, somewhere just close enough or far away enough from the docking doors and centered up to end up on the station.
2. The MUCH more destructive way, this will depend on whether the destructable universe is active... If you can see the long, energy looking thing at the center of the station inside of it, that's the station's energy/fusion/whatever power core. Blow it to pieces (along with you and the station) and you'll respawn back on the station and then you can leave after it respawns. Granted, I have not yet tested this theory, but so far I haven't had to use it to find out as I've gotten pretty good at method #1 and currently due to the destructable universe being deactived, method #1 is your only option. 
This happens to me too and not just prison stations. In most cases, this what I do: DO NOT MOVE, THRUST OR TURN when you spawn in server. Pull up station list on heads up display. Target station and dock. This works most times.
If this does not work, there is other ways, depending on the type of door on the dock. If it is the sliding type door, move your ship right next to the door and try to dock. The door should slide open and you might pop out into space. If it is the type of door that is 4 sections that collapse inward into the station, well that is a tricky one.
If all else fails, and you have the time, be patient and wait for NPC to dock. When the door opens, just fly out.

This thread needs to be stickied IMHO, this happens probably more than most people mention and would help out the n00bs I suspect.
