As you may have noticed the Freelancer Global List Server has been down for about 2 weeks already. Reason for this has been a security problem with the server and its software.
The downtime will last another week but then the GLS is going to be back online.
2008 Microsoft will close the Global List Server since the usual support time runs out. The shutdown was planned in january but is going to be delayed to april 2008. Microsofts offer to keep the GLS online for another year if the community can fullfill some conditions has been rejected by another big Freelancer community. The chances to fullfill these conditions now with just a part of the FL communities are very low so we will have to find a new solution.
