do not expect a new patch to be published... and that CF Guide might be as old as Launcher version 1.56, but still shows good procedures to a CF installation.

no E patch was only for when something went wrong with the server so "Play CF MP" button on launcher wouldn't activate. You would press "play SP" instead and choose the server from sp version.and it was bugged (for me at least)
and the problem doesn't exist anymore, so don't torture (can't remember the word I want so this will do for now) yourself with buggy patch that isn't needed
