you can not to install this patch 1.7 patch it isn`t nessesery you can play CF without it too

button for multiplayer doesnt work 
Did you install Freelancer-Crossfire like this:
1.Reinstall whole freelancer,mods,saves etc.
2.Install Freelancer
3. Install Mod Manager 1.31 !
4. Install Crossfire Mod 1.7
5. Install Patch 1.7 for MP(Multiplayer)
And know this , when you remove your Freelancer + Mod Manager(you give unistall of Mod Manager from his folder[the unistall button which gives you a message "remove all mods and after you do it, the folder deleting automaticily"])
unistalled FL and CF normaly, unistalled FMM from its directory, deleted all remainign files manualy, installed all in order u said, but still the same
patch need to be install in directory of FL, here is picture

I have, but it seems that maybe my version of FL isnt good (version is 1.00).
I'v tryed everythig what i know, it seems that in my version FL put some files in his EXE folder, but patch need them to be in parent folder of FL. I finded this COMMON.dll file wich patch is needed in EXE folder, copy-paste them in parent folder of FL, than started patch, they dont anymore looking for COMMON.dll, but need next file wich is also in EXE folder of FL
I can copy all files from EXE folder in original FL folder, but that wont be smart, wont give me anything good 
So, conclusion is: some files need to be IN parent folder, NOT in EXE folder, for patch to work normaly ;/

Hmm, try uninstalling everything, and delete any remaining files that the uninstalling doesnt remove, then reinstall Freelancer, and restart your computer. Then install the modmanager, then CF, activate CF, and start the launcher, dont bother with the 1.7a patch.

I'v have try that too.
CF is working, but only in single player
reinstaled game over 10 times until now
All I got is fine green color of my face, I think I gona be sick...going mad slowly...
Anyway, I'v tryed this last time
1. unistalled and deleted all remaining files from everything, FL, FMM, CF etc, even from registry
2. freesh install FL
3. restart computer
4. install official patch 1.1 for FL
5. extract CF in FMM\mods folder
6. Started CF from FMM
7. Started CF patch
(skiped one step this time, crac... u now
this time patch succefuly go to end of process, but multiplayer button is still gray, even now

On most Mods you don´t need the crack.
To get the MP Button the Game must patch itself (it will last long the very 1. Time - it has to download around 500 files).
Try to check your firewall settings to let the Launcher pass through.

Thats right, if your firewall blocking the connection during downloading the files, your button won't be active(after downloading the 500 files) it could be from your Antivirus-Windows Firewall^^
no no manual update cos the files change every day
[E4] says u have trouble downloading files - maybe ur connection is unstable? please try several times, so eventually u get all the files up to date.
