problem with 1.7a patch

    im having problem with 1.7a patch
    I installed fresh copy of freelancer, installed CF in


    C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods


    mounted Crossfire in FMM 1.31
    than patched with 1.7a in my game folder wich is


    C:\program files\microsoft games\freelancer


    the problem is: on some part of patch intallation I got error report that patch can't find file COMMON in that directory


    I finded that file in Freelancer\EXE folder, not in Freelancer


    what should I do? should I intall patch in EXE folder?

    i do not remember to have heard about this error, sorry.


    do u really need that patch? it was designed to help some players with international charset, like Bulgarian.


    maybe u should start a fresh install, by following step by step the "Installation Instructions" in the CF Guide (http://www.swat-portal.com/portal/download/CFguide.swf)


    also important: do u use Vista and did u start everything as administrator?

    anyway, didn't know what patch exacly do, i have tryed every single thig i can remember, but CF screen when i start game says something like "update not found. single player only [E12]" or something like that. hmmm, does game can be updated without patch??? i was thinking that patch has conection with this. maybe its just a firewall that block it ;/

    Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E1] --> connection problem to update-server (firewall configuration ok?)
    Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E2] --> trouble with downloading files from update-server (or no right to write into freelancer path)
