First time I heared this melody is the third mission of Homeworld pc game. It was performed by Paul Ruskay with choir.
So, yes, actually, it is tribute to Homeworld, which was planned as OST suite with Adagio in background. But idea was drastically changed when the work begun. So... Hope you'll enjoy
