PDF of Control Your Own Faction Rules - Control Your Own Faction, better known as CYOF, came into existence in the late summer of 2004. It was originally created as a forum RPG by Outcast 1-1 and DSQrn, and was played on the forums of The Lancer’s Reactor. The game was free-form, and had nearly no rules, so the players were all allowed to choose a faction from the PC game Freelancer, and then control it. The game involved a lot of role playing, and that was the main rule and objective of the game, to role play.
