(Team) Deathmatch with Vanilla ships and equipment

Greetings Pilots,

Tonight we had a lot of fun in the ALLIANCE STARLANCER VINTAGE KILL BILL DEATHMATCH and we came up with the idea to do an event with only vanilla ships.
Why? Vanilla ships are cheap to set up. Newcomers will love it.

Depending on the number of participants, it will be Team Deathmatch or simple Deathmatch

In this event, we will only be using ships and equipment that are available to players in standard (vanilla) Freelancer.

the following ships are vanilla:

Only vanilla equipment is allowed (with the exception of Crossfire added scanners and tractor beams)
reason: standard scanners may have insufficient range for (team)deathmatch
It is recommended to buy Adv. Deep scanner or better

Mines are not allowed according to general deathmatch rules
Also not allowed during event: (because not vanilla)
- guns that are stronger than Nomad Energy Cannon
- MK2 shields
- armor upgrades/weight reduction
- shield upgrade/power generators
- licenses / Dom Kavash Device, Crystalline key
For clan members who must have license on their ship for RP reasons:
- Arena is OORP, you can unmount licenses in arena
- storage for licenses will be provided during event

The following equipment is vanilla, but not allowed in this event: (because they cannot be purchased in an unmodded game)
- Champion H. F. Shield
- Adv. Barrier H. F. Shield (class 10 molecular)
- Adv. Champion H.F. Shield
- Paralyzer Missile Launcher

Strongest vanilla buyable shield is Adv. Brigandine H. F. Shield (class 10 positron)

All weapons up to class 9 are vanilla (except the ones from altair but they are exact copies of vanilla weapons)
the following class 10 weapons are vanilla:

for those who are not sure if something is vanilla:

If I forgot anyhting, please comment below
Good luck and see you in space!

  • no report about this event? i'm eager to know about the results and opinions :)

  • Is Mosquito vanilla?

    • mosquito is CF added so not vanilla. wasp, hornet, starkiller and sunslayer are vanilla

  • Observation: If say a participant is in a clan, they are required to have a license on their char of their clan's RP. The rules then mean clan members cant participate.

    • not with an clan-tagged char as an official clan-member, but ... maybe you have a 'private' ride in your garage ?

    • Nope, all chars have been renamed and are part of DP.

    • clan players cannot avoid the need to have rp license equipped

    • True, but you can fly without license in arena because RP rules don't apply there. I can store them there during event so it's not a problem if you bring one

    • well, setting up an untagged char for this event ... (don't tell me you don't have the 1 or 2 mills that such a fighter costs ^^ )

  • ... hope I can force my family to bed "in-time" for that :D 1 thing maybe forgotten : Adv. Brigandine H.F. Shield Mk II

    • mk2 shields are not vanilla but I'll add it to be sure :)
