For the FEW custom voice lines in the campaign...why are they all made with a text to speech engine? It's by far the most immersion breaking thing ever. I get it that not everyone can do perfect English and you can't hire grade A voice actors, but the text to speech thing is just...bad.
Why Text to Speech?

the FEW are a few more than just a FEW and the current solution is by far better than what we had before
Actually you answered the question by your own.
While we have tried to find people doing voice overs we have not been able (in over 2 years of development for version 2.0) to find people that actually can do good enough voice overs or would want to do voice overs.
Considering that a somewhat larger variety of voices was required the amount of voice actors also would have been some larger. The solution we currently have in place is reasonable considering that everything else would have required alot more support during the develoment and maybe even professional voice acting (which would have increased the already high costs).
Next to that do I think that even the current voices are pretty good to understand and we tried to make them sound relative natural (as far this was possible). Afterall, the mod was released in this way about 3 years ago and you are the first one to complain about that. -
It just seems immersion breaking to me... that's all.

see it this way
other mods have no voice overs at all
