I know that I just wanted to keep the answer simple. We clearly can agree that black is no color since black is the absence of colors/light (I am btw. sure that nobody of us has seen pure black yet). White is technically the combination of all visible colors (visible to the human eye -> it might be that other species have a wider range of visible recognition or simply have a different way to interprete colors). There is a huge difference between the definitions of what white actually is. The google explanation is a bit flawed. Because colors dont have just one wavelength, they have a spectrum of wavelengths.e.g. The color red has a spectrum of 620–750 nm. Inside this spectrum the color can have mutiple gradients. The color white contains all other colors therefore its spectrum is 380–750 nm.So if a spectrum is enough to definy the color red, why shouldnt be a somewhat larger spectrum be able to definy the color white? The google definition compares apples to oranges.
