yep - it mostly has an impact on the cpu as it records the vid stream and writes them into a file (so hdd access also should be increasing)for CF1.9 ive recorded a series of vids via fraps on 6 year old PC and the frame rates always remained over 30fps on my meanwhile 1 year old pc the framerates drop from 60 to 58 when i record something with fraps and set a custom frame rate to 60 on that tool (the converters reduce that anyways before i publish such vids)
